Better Attack Strategy???

I'm wondering what is the better attack strategy...

A) Attack a lot of friends using 1 or 2 nerds, which means it will take longer to destroy that house... but you're attacking more buildings.

B) Attack using the max number of nerds per house, which means I can completely destroy the house in 1 hour? Better chances of completely destroying that house within the hour.

The thing with using max nerds on a tower or house is that if they click defend before you're being able to take over the tower means that you just wasted all those nerds

For me it depends what time of day it is. I've set aside a few of my donuts for nerds (I really want those costumes levelled up a lot) So I can send lots of them out to break a building in 1-2 hours (so it's harder for them to defend and I'll get the full reward) but then only send 2-3 nerds overnight so they'll be done when I wake up. Will probably do the latter more as I get back into school in September.

it seems to me that the best strategy is to:

    1) use 1 nerd per attack
    2) fight random towns - not your buddy list
    3) save cheaters for random town halls

Its interesting that this is the first event that does not promote to visiting your neighbors. Its more valuable to visit strangers. I kind of like that though, as it exposes you to different towns.

Yeah, seems to make more sense to me to stay cheap & just do the most you can w/ what they give you...
If somehow not going well after the results, then can try spending more to see if much of a difference

I'm going to try this... though I don't know what #3 means. I guess I'll figure it out in time.

    THANKS everyone for your input!!

Cannot find this anywhere ... Is there a way to regularly earn cheaters, or would i need to buy them? (Not.)

I am Not talking about the special bunch we get during the quest, nor about the bag of 20 that comes up as one of the prizes!

They occasionally drop from clearing shields/repair buildings. (Had one drop this morning)

I'm so lost... Cheaters? isn't that a terrible reality show about.... wait... I'm guessing I'm not talking about the same Cheaters....

I haven't played the event for more then 10 minutes...

    3) save cheaters for random town halls = should read "Save cheaters for random castles." You get the most elixir from attacking non-neighbor castles. :)

I also got a cheater from defending my town. It popped out like the donuts do when visiting neighbors.

Now I'm getting why attacking random towns is better than attacking friends - your friends are basically your "clan." In clash of clans, you join a clan (or make neighbors) and attack other clans. Its all coming together...

I think it's better to attack your friends so that they will attack you. You get more from defending usually.

I had two drop - 1 even before I could use one. And I think the bag of cheater 20s in the quest you earn only has 6. (Since I used 2 and have 6 left.)

Interesting, I was wondering why I ended up with one before I reached the free one...

Re: strategy- I'm going to start changing my strategy to two towns visited per nerd drop, one being randomly selected. My neighbors aren't fully up to date yet so it's no big deal to not visit them(
