Nerd cap or bug?

Well, according to EA customer service this is in fact a bug that they are aware of. Anyone else affected? Since this event only has a week left it's doubtful that the problem will be fixed in time. The prize track is a little lacking this time around, so I don't really care if I finish it. I got 15 donuts for my trouble, so it's not all bad.

Mine upgraded with no problem. As for the time remaining, I think you have your dates confused. The event ends Oct 7 and this is Sept. I just checked to be sure and there is still 35 days left, so hopefully they will be able to fix it. :-)

Probably you purchased the upgrade that raises your max nerds by 5. It's not a bug, there are two types of upgrade, one raises nerd production and the other raises the max number of total nerds you can have at a given time.

The castles have 2 different upgrades for Nerds.

1 upgrade increases the nerd production by +5

1 upgrade increases the max nerd total by +5

The first one increases your castle's production, the second one increase the max allowed to hold before needing to spend them. So it sounds like your recent upgrade was the second one, not the first. Basically you can hold 5 more until you max out at the total.

Ah I see now. You guys were right. I didn't realize there were two different nerd upgrades. And I did get my dates mixed up (I thought the event ended on Sept 07). Thanks for straightening me out. EA did say it was a bug so I don't know what to think.

I paid 3400 elixir to upgrade my castle to produce 5 more nerds, going from 15 to 20 v but now my cardboard castle, which was producing 20, is only producing 15. ??!! So, still only producing 50, even tho I'm out 3400 elixir. I have had up to 70 nerds max, and the stats when you click on each castle confirms what I'm saying.

Please fix and or return the precious purple gold.
