Anyone else have an outbreak of Christmas?

It's entirely possible that someone did get into your town and turned on the lights as a signal. It's nice that they didn't spend your monies.

Went into my SF earlier and all was fine but my characters hadn't finished their tasks. Just went in again and found 15 - 20 houses have now got their Christmas lights on. At first I thought I'd put a few on by accident (I put on a house farm for the **** and to get cash for new land and I tap it very quickly.) but as I moved round SF I found various other groups of houses with lights. FAR too many for me to have put them on accidentally.

Is this a glitch, do you think? Or worse, has someone been in my SF and put them on? Cash amounts and donuts seem ok as far as I can remember.
Sounds like you had someone nice, who wanted to warn you- rather than an a**e that many if us get, I had buildings bought and items sold, wish I'd just had a farm :)
In other news I just saw my first advent calandra being sold earlier today- which I thought was rather funny

Well, it's good that someone hasn't messed with my Springfield. And may I be the first to wish you all a very merry Christmas (and a happy Hannukah, a crazy Kwanza and a tip top Tet. Yes I remember that episode.) Please send all mince pies and choccy filled advent calendars to....

    Feejay.

...As for xmas and all that, they can pump the breaks til November for my taste

There have been a couple of times where the EA servers have accidently loaded another Springfield instead of mine. I admit when this happens I take a quick look to see what the town looks like, but I would never actually change, move, touch or take anything - I would feel like I was ruining someone's work.
After I look, I just log out and back in and go back to my Springfield. It's good that whoever it was didn't completely mess with your town - only with the Christmas lights.

Oh! And Merry Christmas to all of you.

I think it is good that this person warned you that they ended up in your SF. That's better then selling your buildings or spending your donuts.

As for Christmas, well I work in a store and our trucks are now spending Christmas decorations. One store I went into last week already had Christmas stuff up for sale, right next to the Halloween stuff. Of course, I love Christmas, I'm not complaining. I already finished Christmas shopping for my extended family and my husband and I can spend now until Christmas buying presents to spoil our son rotten with. ;)

I've logged in to the game b4 today, and been told logged out by the system saying 'You have logged in on another device' That worries me because I have no other device :?

I've had that happen to me before. Luckily no one ever messed with my SF if they were in it.

I was doing random attacks last nite, and ran across a SF that had all the houses I saw with xmas lights. I didn't look around, so I don't know if other decorations changed like hedges etc. I wonder if I came across your town, it was a random attack, so I don't know whose SF it was?

I logged in tonight and had something similar happen. I just assumed that I had switched the houses to Christmas in my hurry to clear my town of attackers. Maybe not? Hmm. Glad that my donuts are still there. Trying to decide on buying the unicorn.....

Not the most helpful of answers there....

This happens from time to time when the game doesn't save all the way. Normally it'll tell you it's syncing, but sometimes it's stupid. As long as nothing is amiss in your town (it's probably fine) the worst you might loose would be the last 2 or 3 actions. Just tap in to play and confirm that, and you'll be good.
