Why to people keep garbage?

Prev1
I have a bunch of trash in my town for decorating. Nelson's back yard if full of it. I have it placed in other places in my town. The bad thing about the trash is; once it's gone, it's gone forever.

This, and I'm too lazy to get rid of it.

I could understand that until I got a doughnut from clearing a hunk of the stuff.

    ooooo one donut

you can get more donuts doing town visits for 2 days then you get from clearing all the trash

I wish I would have kept a little more, but there is nothing I can do about it now.

It's a unique decoration that you can never get back. Sure there might be a donut or two, but no amount of donuts will buy you a toxic waste puddle.

I cleared most of mine but saved some of the last pieces. Those I used as decorations for the power plant, Muntze house, and Cletus's farm. I've seen others who used it to create a garbage dump with the tire fire. Looks pretty good. :D

I kept a lot of the trash, I have it placed all over my town. I think it adds something to my town. I see a lot of really neat, ,cookie cutter towns and I prefer a little trash. An oil spill at the gas station, some junk piled by the garbage cans behind the store, a few pieces of junk along my canal that runs thru town behind my Sprawl Mart and a few other buildings, etc...

I don't know, but to each her own. I hate the stuff, myself, and I plan to get rid of ALL of it.

I spent a while cleaning it up in my town, but I stopped once I got to a point that it'll fill up Cletus' area a bit, and Nelson's. It'll make theirs look more appropriate. :) I have some extra, so I can put toxic waste by the power plant.

My only thing is that once I've decorated what I want with all this garbage, getting Homer and Lisa to leave what I want and clear the extra seems like it'll be close to impossible.

I usually put the trash I don't' want in an area by itself and then put Lisa's balance beam right buy the trash and use her to clean it.

It might go well with a building or "thing" we get in the future. For example, a rubbish truck! Too bad I didn't keep any! :-\

I think some people consider it treasure as it is limited and you can never buy these items. I didn't keep any in my Springfield.

    Neat idea!

And when I wanted both Homer and Lisa to clean up (when I had a lot), I'd gather my unwanted trash in one spot, send both Lisa and Homer to church, and move the church next to the garbage. Store the church and both end up wandering at that spot. Send them to cleanup and move my church back. Also works with the Kwik-E-Mart btw.

I have kept some garbage for decoration, as others have: I have a waste dump near the power plant, and a variety of garbage near my "Low Rent District" (Cletus's, Muntz, Cat Lady, Lincoln's Cabin (though this may some day get an upgrade to "Wilderness Zone" once I get the space to make it), Tire Fire, etc.). Mostly though, I'm done with it, and clean it up as I go. It is tricky getting Homer or Lisa (usually I make Lisa do it, she does just seem so happy with the task) to avoid the "decoration trash", and sometimes I have to make a garbage "bread crumb trail" to get them where I want them (I don't have a Balance Beam someone else mentioned.), but it's not usually too difficult (and I kind of like the challenge, lol).

I didn't consider that these decorations can never be replaced. And should there ever be the need/desire to build another dump or have a chemical spill... They just might come in handy, eh? Hmmm... Fortunately, I still have a lot of the map/garbage to unlock, so perhaps Ill save some more for a future rainy day.

Hiding it behind buildings seems a great idea. :!: :D

Exactly. I have a few strategically placed around some of my buildings, but I have a whole bunch all along the beach. I figure Mr. burns has been hiding it there for years.
