When I first downloaded this app it was because I was bored and I planned to play it in my spare time... That was nine months ago and I have been playing daily since. I know I have not been playing as long as most people on the forums but I love the game and I intend to stick around

I started playing Feb 29th 2012 the release date and never stopped playing don't intend to stop playing either

I remember waiting for the app to appear on the App Store as I was refreshing it constantly waiting for it lol

Also remember how far just 300 donuts would go as well :shock: pretty much but sod all with 300 now

Almost exactly a year for me now. I don't know exactly when I started, but I know I missed Whacking Day by probably mere minutes.

Oddly, I had downloaded it some time previously, but didn't have the time to get into it. Then I started to play it, and have been addicted ever since!

I started in the summer of 2012, and I don't have plans on quoting anytime soon. Sure the game has it's ups and downs, and this year was more of a disappointment compared to the years before, but hey all games have their ups and downs. Only thing we can hope as fans is that they learn from their mistakes and fix what bothered everyone which looks like they're trying.

I started on March 1, 2012. The very first day it was released on the US App Store. I remember just browsing the App Store & saw this game & immediately downloaded. Never heard about it before & was surprised considering how big of a Simpsons fan I am. Then it was removed from the App Store 2 days after it's release due to server issues, crashes & other bugs.

I remember those long months between March-August 2012. After I got to Level 20 & was finished, I remember thinking, "Gee I hope they release more content & this isn't the end of it." I was really hoping they wouldn't pull the plug on it. I remember they gave us the 60 donuts, I remember them reaching out to us. Back then it was a very small community since the game was available to a lot of people. Lots of people have abandoned it due to all those problems. I stuck by and have played ever since.

Won't ever quit.

I am right with you. I started in Nov of 2012 and was soooooo sad I missed Halloween, which is why I bought all the Halloween stuff last year.

Also, my brother was giving me crap about spending money on a free game but he couldn't answer the following question. What game have you played everyday (or even just played some) for two years? Most paid games cannot hold a candle to this one in that regard.

Also a vet since halloween 2012, didn't quite get what the candy was for but was hooked. I'm just wondering if they
changed the code on free donuts from friends on the last update. I maxed out on FP's on Wednesday and have visited everyone of my friends and received exactly zero donuts. Bummer!

I'm sort of glad I started late and missed a bunch of events. If I started day 1 then I'd probably be a completionist and would have spent hundreds of dollars by now. Having already missed out on so many things, I don't feel bad about not buying every item.

I do lose interest in the game when there isn't an event going on- and then play that other cartoon game, which is entirely too demanding- but this is still my favorite because the Simpsons have been a part of my life, for nearly all my life.

I was a bit late starting, I didn't have an iPad until November 2012 so didn't know about this game. Wasn't until I saw my friend playing it that I downloaded (missed v-day 2013 by a day or so) and have never looked back :-)

Another vet from August 2012. Easily the most I've played any game. Stopped angry birds looooong ago, still here every freaking day. And it keeps getting funnier!

Most games also release all their content right away, and don't stretch things out to milk every penny from their players.

Think about it. If this game came out on PC or even a console, every character and building would be there right off the bat, not to mention there would probably be no land limitations which means most players would be done with the game within a year or less. The only reason why we're hooked on this game is because of the content model the developers chose.

I'd also have to disagree with you on regular games not holding people's attention for more then two years. Back when Nintendo had it's peak with their handheld game systems, right before the DS came out, the games they had kept people in it for more then a couple of years without any issues. Plus they were cheaper. Unfortunately a lot of game devolpment companies chose to pump out more games that lack quality rather then making games that could be played for years and have high replay value.

My question is how high is the replay value on this game. Would any of the veteran players continue playing this game if they had to start from scratch?

I'm been playing since the beginning from as far as I remember. I definately remember the time when the game was very broken at the beginning and never saved my Springfield past getting Cletus. I play all the time and have most of the characters as well! Long Live TSTO!!

been playing since the end of June last year, pretty much the moment i finally got an android phone capable of playing it. logged in every day since. if i didn't quit over Easter, I'm not sure what would make me quit.
