True usually they are only vanity items except for the sit n rotate.

The fortress of choclitude helps consumerism at least. It would of been awesome if uter had a task there

Maybe if the release one of The Choclobots as a playable character, then it will have quests & tasks associated with it.

As it stands, the only aspirational items to have tasks & quests associated with it. Sit-N-Rotate gives Skinner & Selma Bouvier a permanent 2hr task to dine there as well as a small quest line. The Sunsphere gives Bart, Milhouse, Nelson & Martin all permanent 16hr tasks as well as a small quest line.

I'm also hoping for when they release Molloy as a playable character, give him a task with the Worlds Largest Zirconia as well as another at the Museum of Natural History.
