I really hate the stigma revolving adults playing video games

Prev134
I'm 34 and still play video games a lot. I basically grew up through the rise of video games. It's something I've done since I was 5.

My wife once asked me when I thought I'd stop playing games. I asked her why I had to stop.

Now she plays with me as well.

It's also something I get to do with my kids. They love it. We love playing together.

It's really not a kid thing anymore. Besides, very few games are made for kids now. There seem to be more "Mature" rated games that "Everyone" rated games.

I say play no matter how old you are.

Play till you can't anymore, playing video games uses more mental capacity then watching tv or movies, nothing wrong with it. The stigma is caused by people who play instead of work or be productive at other times of the day or week.

Probably just because some older people like your parents didn't grow up playing games

There is nothing wrong with playing video games as an adult. Your not doing anything wrong. I still play them and am 30.

I'm 33 and I'd play video games all day if I could. I just started Batman: Arkham Origins, I can only squeeze in a few hours a week though.

Edit: As for the action figures, I have an entire designated to my nerdiness and oh yea, its awesome!

I am 34 and play TSTO all the time. I have two young children who nap a lot so I have free time at night, plus we go to bed early. It is a perfectly normal activity.
I used to buy every new console and big game, but my wife told me I get can't a ps4 since i only have used my ps3 for Blue ray the past 3 years. She has a point.

Edit..Needed to explain what I use ps3 for

I still play the Xbox from time to time depending on how busy i am, still enjoy playing it too and i'm in my 30s

Things like that is the same as people not understanding/not liking racing but enjoy going to the pub for beers every night, certain things people dont agree with or understand but you do what makes you happy, thats what it all about :)

I ask my gf if she wants to sit down and play with me and she tells me that she's a grown woman. I didn't know there was an age limit for having fun?

How old is your gf? You gone for the older woman ;) Fair play too ya ;)
