Nerds, elisir and red dices... What to do?

I always do what you mentioned in first option....
Many items are really handy after we get new decorations after time and storing em doesn't cost you nothing
I would just wait to the very last day/few hours just in case EA will add something at the very end..

I think I'm done with ****. I just sent out nerds in 5 towns, will collect gold/ elixir tomorrow, then wait till right before the event ends and buy everything I can with elixir and hope I can stick in krustyland or blend it with a future update. I need a day or so break before Halloween starts. So if you're one of my friends I may take a day or two off from visiting as well. All be all over your Springfield when Halloween starts. I really excited to start growing Bonsai faster since I'm out of the game 24 hours at a time for nerds to raid. Side note, Brandine gave me the patience to grow corn and my first full 90 day crop will be ready in 5 days, unless Halloween forces it first. I only used marge to shave a few hours off here and there.

I've been using the dice just to clear my town out. I bought a bunch of walls and some other stuff. I don't do much attacking anymore, so my nerds just sit in the castles with nothing to do.

I plan to buy lots of tents, courthouses, and guillotine. I'll probably buy some castle walls because even though I don't plan to leave up huge castles I may use them for something else.

That has never happened before, so it's highly unlikely it will happen now. In the two events where we could convert event currency x-mas 2012 V-day 2013 the option was given to us about a week before the event ended. Every other time it vanishes with the next update. I wasn't there for Halloween 2012, I started right about x-mas 2012, but it was stated in a pop up box that homer had eaten all the candy which was the currency of that event. If anything I bet we will get a pop up box saying homer drank all the elixir. This would probably give us a 24 hour task of homer being drunk on elixir just so EA can delay Halloween one more day as they love a 24 kick off or two so you spend donuts to speed it up.

I'm sending out my last Nerds tomorrow. Monday I'm going to use the dice I've been saving and then spend my Elixer on decorations.

So, at the end there is no right choice.. I suppose tomorrow I will spend everything as per point 1, in fact visiting my SF you can already see 16 pieces of wall there waiting for the end of the event.. And the rest will be used for tent and other stuff... :-)

If there was going to be something special like converting elixir and gold we would have read about it already through the usual spoiler sources...but we haven't. Spend the dices, elixir, and ignore the nerds. Buy a few more walls and decorations while you can, otherwise prepare yourself for Halloween.
