Alien gremlin probe collecting glitch?

Yes, I have noticed this exact thing.

I ran some tests with my gf. She sent Grem-Aliens to my town and I to hers. Then we captured each other's.

The result is that you get the probes for capturing, but there does appear to be a bug preventing you from getting the probes you should be awarded for sending off the Grem. It doesn't matter if the Grem was captured or not. I've received several messages about winning probes, but my total did not go up (unless I was the one capturing someone else's Grem they sent to my town, then I got those two probes).

I hoped a ticket w/EA.

I experienced the same thing. The probes received from placing eggs in neighbours' towns count towards the total on the leaderboard but aren't added in my town. Right now, the total in my town says 811, whereas the leaderboard says 930 :?:

Ok I won't place any egg until they fix this. Also if the timer is flawed like the **** one I might be able to always win the attack if I don't login for 4 hours.

I saw this too late, and have been dropping eggs. I also confirmed it with my feeder town (caught gremalien, enough time hasn't passed for a non-captured test for me).

Yup. Same here.

Also, when I shot down a UFO in a neighbor's town, I won 50 probes which didn't get added to my total.

So far, I've been cheated at close to 200 probes.

yep, me too - no addition to my total at all after the gremaliens went out

I just completed a chat session w/EA's tech support. They're aware of the issue. They say it has to do with the high demand on the servers right now causing the rewards to take extra time to be applied, possibly up to 24hrs, but it should start working normally within 3-4 days. Honestly I was a little dubious of this answer, but have accepted it for now.

I'm going to carefully watch my probe total to see if the missing probes from yesterday get applied. If not within 3-4 days, I'll recontact EA.

In the meantime, I'm holding on to my eggs, until I know the problem is resolved.

Thanks for the info Bob. I'd be on my way to getting the mutant **** by now if I'd received them. Between this and the 90 probe limit for neighbors, there's not a big incentive to visit right now.

I've been leaving the grem-aliens left in my town alone, but I'm wondering if I should start squishing them now.

Personally, I'm still visiting my friends to get those 90 actions. 90 is still 90 closer to my goal. Not to mention I get money, XP, and since I've maxed my Friend Rewards, a chance at getting a donut (which I did get one donut while squishing an alien in a friend's town yesterday).

I have each time received 2 probes for squishing a Grem-Alienn in my town that was sent by a friend. So that aspect seems to be working.

Still nothing being added to my total, despite many probes being collected from neighbours' gremaliens. Is there a link to this on the EA bugs and issues page? I couldn't find one.

I'm having this issue as well. I'm going to be cutting it very close as to wheter or not I'm going to collect all the probes I need to get the donut torture device. So far I guess I've had close to 200 probes not added to my total that should be there. I'm done sending eggs until this is fixed

But it initally refers to those probes collected by clicking the "baby" aliens in neighbor towns (the OP didn't realize there are limits to how many probes you can collect in this manner), but others who post in the thread mention the Grem-alien issue.

I actually contacted EA via live chat yesterday about it and the game advisor indicated it was something to do with my recently updated game not being synced with the server, and that this is what was causing the probe count discrepancies. They implied the count would update once the two were properly synced, but I've yet to notice this and as result have stopped sending out grems to neighbors until I hear someone confirm they are counting, or stop hearing folks stating they are continuing not to be credited for them.

Hope it gets sorted soon though, as after having checked the Daily Chart progression thing, those probes from Grems are going to be crucial in getting enough probes for all the prizes for a freemium like myself.

To my neighbors, thank you muchly for the Grems in my town (those precious probes are much appreciated) and apologies I've not been reciprocating. Will do so as soon as this glitchiness is resolved, I promise!

I also have not had any of the probes from eggs dropped in other's springfield. I have been keeping track each time I leave and then sign back in, and so far the "server" hasn't synced up to me once yet to give me all the probes i'm due. How will we know when this issue is resolved? And how can we be sure we all get the probes we're owed?

I tried getting the game advisor to answer those very questions, but never got a clear answer. They just told me to wait for the "syncing", suggesting it might take a few days to kick in.

Hoping someone else who's experiencing this issue has better luck, if they also contact EA directly.

I shot down an alien spacecraft in a neighbor's town, and had a message that said I won 30 donuts. But they were never added to my total. I'm bummed-out.

How does one contact EA?

You can add me to this list. My probe count has never gone up even though it has said my grem-aliens have brought probes back.

I am torn about whether to wait until it's fixed or keep sending them. Neighbours still seem to benefit by getting the two probes if they catch the grem-aliens... Not sure what to do yet...
