Spending donuts on ammo, good deal?

I've gotten thirty donuts for shooting a UFO, so maybe. However, I wouldn't spend my precious donuts on ammo. (Beyond the ray gun, which I bought last year.)

I would not spend the donuts either.
There is only a 1% chance of getting donuts. If anything, and you have donuts to spare, buy the license instead :-)

3 per day from the ray gun and 2 by the treat bags isn't so bad, just keep at it. Why spend money when you don't need to on something that won't guarantee a good prize and more than likely is going to land you something that you are getting from the kids and the Rigellians...

Save the donuts in case something better comes along because you might buy not get anything good and could end up costing yourself a decent premium item when the update on the 20th comes.

I have spent money on ammo and have gotten "some" things but my feeder town has not spent hardly any and today it "hit" 30 donuts TWICE while clearing neighbors towns. I have never yet gotten donuts. So it's luck!

    Wow!! That's Awesome!!! Congratulations!!!

Although it figures that it would happen in your feeder town. But still free donuts are free donuts. Only 2 kinds of donuts, good and better.

Over the weekend, I went ahead and bought 5 ammo, which I think is priced a little high at 15 donuts. But anyway, I took a pic of each one of my rewards, and this is what I got: 20 pumpkins, 20 pumpkins, 50 probes, gold treat bag, bronze treat bag. Since they changed the items you can buy, and now you can buy the treats individually with donuts, I don't think that the ammo is worth it now. I mean I still want to collect from my ray gun, and from treat bags, but that is all.

This early in the event, I think it's a mistake to buy ammo or any of the crafting items - with patience, we'll probably be able to get most or all of the prizes without spending donuts. If you have the ray gun, the extra ammo from that should be plenty. The only reason to spend donuts is if you absolutely must be the first of your friends to get the prizes.

Although it was too early in the event to actually buy, I was considering because I didn't get any for about 2 days. Now they are coming through slowly, I no longer am even considering it.

No way would I spend donuts on ammo. I've had quite a few bullets from bags and got everything from 50 probes to chocolate bars - nothing exciting. I'm more bemused that the UFOs get in your way when visiting neighbours and I blow them up without meaning to.

I actually got the 30donut prize twice from ufos, but no, I won't buy bullets.
