How many Grem-Aliens eggs?

Any town have up to 10. However, if your neighbors other neighbors have dropped eggs before you came, then the amount you can drop goes down.

As for your other question, I am one of the players effected by the glitch. When I drop eggs and log back in later, I get a pop up saying my grem-aliens have found probes but those probes are not added to my over all probe count.

When you go to a neighbor's town, check the top right corner of your screen. There should be a small box there showing the number of grem-alien eggs you can drop there.
