What the heck I'd this first prize in the ray gun list? I don't even recognize it.

It's a gunship from Avatar (only because I saw the THOH 22(?) on FXX yesterday). It sort of goes with the bulldozer dino thing. Neither of which seem all that cool.

    I feel your pain though.

    Very disappointed. Here's why:

    - same task over and over for weeks? Getting a little boring.
    - used all my donuts to get this gun i did not want because it looks stupid without Frinks lab, and it did not help me get the DTD.
    - missed the DTD by 140 probes. No credit for the 7000+ probes i collected??
    - the UI for the prizes is poorly designed. How many people mistook the last bag value as the DTD value? The scroll bar controls are not visible enough. Oh what? There's stuff listed under the pumpkin house? Didn't notice for weeks!
    - where's my trivia question? what?? Tap the house to find Moog's outfit? Why different from every other feature that goes to inventory??
    - was hoping for more chances to EARN old features, not just PAY for them. Yay for the rich. We get pumpkins and dead trees. Yay.
    - really sick of game play with timers on them. If the timers are intended to force more contribution of my time, well i feel like I'm playing this game more than i eat, sleep, pee, or work, COMBINED, AND IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH.

Seriously, this event feels like WORK, rather than FUN, and I'm tired of it spotlighting my lack of disposable funds. I've recently installed a drag racing game that is simpler and far more stress free. I may be deleting this soon for my own mental well being.

Pardon my negative slant but I'm still mad about how much effort i made for DTD to miss it by a handful. I'm turned off the whole event now. What the heck I'd this first prize in the ray gun list? I don't even recognize it.

And why can't Swype recognize I'm spelling RAY GUN, not DAY FUN?! Stupid android!

    :P

I agree with so much of this. Also, it would've been cool to actually receive a gold treat bag after completeling the trick or treat task repeatedly, since it's in the task bar anyway. Might as well not even have it there if the task repeats over and over (not to mention so much confusion in the beginning with people thinking it was a glitch and people even spent donuts!)
But we already did it. It took seven hours, but we did it. It's done.

My cats always look at me in a strange way. I must be saying profanities to them when I meow at them...

This is THOH #3 for me. I think Doctor Who and THOH have one thing in common, you always treasure your first Doctor/THOH.

The trick or treat thing is getting a bit tiring. I like squishing aliens. I like "egging" my neighbors. Not as much fun as Stonecutters or THOH #1 or Whacking Day.

I do appreciate that each event has a different way of doing things. I liked community prizes and I really like being able to help my neighbors! Many of my neighbors have been around for over 2 years and it seems more fun when we are able to help them achieve their goals too. "It's a social game for crying out loud"....

After playing for two weeks I can say that this event sucks as compared with Halloween last year, IMO
    here is why:

1 - Atmosphere is not as spooky as last year, nice autumn colors for the trees, but not eerie enough
2 - No special effects for buildings, to see the Dream House in action is really fun
    3 - No community prizes
4 - Only 6 personal prizes and difficult to get unless you use donuts
5 - Allowed to buy old Halloween prizes drop by drop, some people missing out due to the availability being a "mystery"
6 - Cleverly hidden fact that we are dealing with three mystery boxes/wheels in the shape of Gift Bags, that deliver random tokens to "craft" prizes - at least you can use donuts to end the frustration and not chance to buy. But this is no consolation to fermium gamers. (In my donut free town, I already missed the last prize of the first stage, and far behind in this - in the "crafted" goodies I haven't got the Haunted House or the Grand Pumpkin)

All in all I find that there is a lot of grinding with no fun and nothing to look forward to.

Sorry to be so negative, but I'm hating the event, rat race in real life we can only avoid if we are very lucky, to suffer it in a game willingly is masochistic.

Thumbs down for Halloween III Booooo to EA
I HATE CRAFTING. CRAFTING? Bah! Humbug!

My significant other (who only posts on the forum once in a blue moon, but has been playing Tapped Out for two years) told me yesterday that he thought this was the best event so far. He loves the crafting mechanic, says it really keeps him engaged in the game more than the collection of currency does. It's true that he's been playing much more regularly than he has all year.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. I thought the crafting idea was kind of interesting, and I know they're always trying new mechanics to keep things fresh. It's nice to see that at least one person likes this one so much.

In my cranky mood i did not list anything good about the event, which is unfair. The event has very good style, everyone's little Halloween costume is cute, the trees look great.

I also believe the treat bags is a clever twist for earning rewards, rather than a wheel which we've had enough of. I like the randomness and some choice in what prize to craft. I like there is something we can craft at the end with the excess candy, the stone walls.

The free prizes are all new, which is very cool. But i don't like the timers being so limiting. Is not like there isn't plenty of stuff available to make money on this event. This is a huge garage sale for old limited items, which i would be stoked on if i actually had any money to spend. People have been asking for rerelease of some of these items for a long time. And yet they are still very limited in time available so that is maintaining their exclusivity.

Oh and i do like the eggs. I was distributing a few to each neighbor, but after getting a batch from a neighbor (*wink/nod*) i find its much more fun to dump like 10 on one friend at a time. When they log in they'll get the "whoa! Gremlins everywhere! Gahh!" experience which i thought was fun when it happened to me. So maybe some of you will try that.

The event is pretty decent in some regards, and I'm sure many are enjoying similarly to Neuro's SO. but these short term time limits are spoiling it. I don't like being slighted when i am participating in their grind and jumping through their hoops.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I can agree about the restrictive timers, 4junk. They do add some stress to the event that I find unpleasant. I'm sure it's all part of the plan to keep it "interesting" for a month, but it can be problematic.
Glad you enjoyed the gremalien bomb :) I've been trying to spread the love as much as possible, but some of my neighbors need gremaliens more than others, and I only get about 15 a day, so I hoard some of them to help out people who are close to a prize but not quite there yet.
