No. Might I suggest cleaning out your device? Delete unused apps, photos and whatnot that might be slowing it down.

Tried that too. Have 9 GB free on my iPad, which should be more than sufficient.

Happens every now and then, most likely due to an update not installing properly or something to that nature. A clean reinstall usually helps.

Have you updated your iPad to 8.1? It came out Tuesday.

OP have you tried to hard close your device immediately after uninstalling and downloading the game again?
Clear your history and cookies in settings.
If you check photos, sometimes they can use up too much space, mostly videos, so I sent mine to my PC to save them and I got rid of old apps I was not using too often.
This seemed to work for me.

Strangely, the problem I have isn't the game crashing.... While I'm playing it. I'll be doing something else. Maybe using Chrome, perhaps in Facebook or even Beach Buggy Racing... Then I get a popup telling me that Tapped Out has stopped. Awesome. I hadn't seen it going in a while, shaddup.

This probably won't help, but I play using an iPod and when it starts crashing while I'm visiting friends or scratching a Scratch-R, I power down my device and when I turn it back on, everything's good. Just thought I would at least mention it.

Haven't installed any iOS8 yet.
Tried almost all your suggestions and since I had my iPad turned completely off and on again, at least I can play the came again! Thanks!
Still glitchy with visiting friends, but hey! At least I can put Homer back to work!

i've had that too i wouldnt even be in the game but it'd tell me that

Trust me, the problem is WORSE on Android. - The came crashes randomly, one must reset each time it does. it signs out randomly. - basically, when the music stops the game implodes.

and i have over 25 gigs free in memory so I KNOW its not that.
