This world has gone mad

Khodro wrote:
Swedish politician Anders Wilhelmsson suggests people in his county should by means of expropriation have their houses be given to refugees to overcome the overwhelming numbers of new refugees arriving to the country.

Danish politician Martin Damm encourages more Danish people to lend a room to refugees or give up their small vacation homes to cope with the overwhelming number of refugees. He also suggests new "refugee towns" be created, funded by the taxpayers.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Danish students have to give up on their studies every summer because there aren't enough places for them to live in the cities.

Yep sounds about right !!! :?

I think Sweden had an election around 1-2 months ago. Denmark I believe has an upcoming election next year.

How can you pick one thing from the world and say "The world is going mad"? Don't you think stuff like that is happening in a lot of places, not just there. What makes this special? One example I can think off is when Brazil were hosting the world cup and so many residents had their houses knocked down to compensate for the grounds and stuff and they received nothing.

This is after you said we shouldn't worry about stuff because there's too much of it happening in other places or whatever.

So he only wants to worry about what effects him and we should worry only about what effects him as well?

You should come to Australia. Government won't help you out at all, even when you pay them over 30k a year on tax, your better of coming over on a boat, they treat you like the queen.

Uhm... It's called a figure of speech. It's not supposed to be taken literally.

So your whole "why should we care" was just a figure of speech? Okay then...
