Update: Mayflower has been changed back to an unlimited item

I'm glad someone made a special thread with the warning about the Mayflower in the thread title. I saw this info mentioned in another thread, but as part of a thread containing a lot of other posts. Most people don't have time to sift through, and this is exactly the sort of thing needed ... A clear heads-up!

Thank you for the appreciation. That is exactly why I felt the issue deserved its own topic. It was a bit of a sneaky thing for EA to quietly change an item that has been available for a year to suddenly be Limited Time. It might even be unprecedented in the history of the game, and is sure to catch many people unawares. I am glad I could help.

I would say that this is unique, and maybe unprecedented. I am a little frustrated by it, as well, because I have other Thanksgiving limited time items that are a priority. And I was hoping to actually save some donuts for Xmas.

Anyway, the only other item that may have initially been available on a permanent basis, and then was changed to limited time and removed, would be the Mapple Store. Maybe. I won it during Xmas 2012, but I know that after the event ended, it was available to be purchased with donuts. And it was not listed as limited time initially. But once the Android platform was on board for release, it was removed from the game. I think that is the only other comparable item to this Mayflower change. However, the Mapple Store was for an entirely different set of circumstances and was more understandable. This change seems like a money grab, forcing those on the fence to make a decision now. Of course, it could possibly be listed incorrectly, and may actually still be available after the event ends again. But we can't be sure, and I would hate to risk it. Arghhhh!!! Come on, EA, I would like some comments or guidelines to let us know when limited time items will actually be removed!

Funny, almost bought it a while back... Now that it's limited- doesn't make me want it faster, just a little sad I won't have it eventually now- because of priorities

I wonder if it was supposed to be limited last year and didn't get coded properly and it's just correcting the problem now.

With the /TG update it was showing in my both my regular & limited time store categories, & now w/this morning's update it's corrected to regular /not limited as also confirmed in other thread about today's mini update 8)

Lol. Thank you, zennglenn. Now I guess the thread title should be changed so people know they have time to get the Mayflower and to go ahead and use their donuts on event stuff instead.

Hooray! When I saw it marked limited time I almost started to panic because I really want that for my Squidport and I know I won't be able to get it before the update fades into Christmas. Now I can relax.
