14,000 gifts is what it takes to get the last prize in phase 1. That's why they have 14,000 gifts. So they did use donuts.

I don't have the update, but I'm hoping they'll bring the reindeer back, there's still a chance it might come out as limited premium for the second phase or something?

I have updated to the Christmas 2014 update and have built the Toy Workshop. I have got the Elf cave which you can use to do Santa's Daily tasks for a bunch of small prizes and one big prize once you complete all of the daily tasks.

I had unlocked Ice Princess Martin which is a limited time skin for Martin. The particular character only has two tasks which is surprising to me. I won my very first personal prize in the first part of the update which actually is the Christmas Float.

Massive disappointment this xmas is both for premium and freemium players. nothing to buy cash or doughnuts and long drawn out christmas facades. it is what it is and clearly the interns are in charge now. End game is upon this game.
