I saw it today and agree with you that it was fantastic. I hope they do another movie that ties in with Tolkien's books.

Hasn't Peter Jackson already suggested that The Silmarillion could be adapted to film?

I haven't seen the Hobbit Part 3 yet; most certainly will. Did anyone watch the old animated movies? I seem to remember enjoying them, but it's been years since I've seen them. *scurries to Amazon to make a purchase*

I've seen all three of the Lord of the rings but maybe a spin off, something that concerns Legolas (since you seen the third movie you should know what he was told to checkout, it would be neat to see a meeting between them).

Or like Sandwedgeking said an adaptation of The Silmarillion, though I think I saw somewhere that they might not do something like that due to the length, I mean how many parts would they have to break a story like that up into.

@ sekura i had that exact idea of them meeting after i walked out of the theatre haha that would be awesome

@ sandwedgeking ive thought of that many times of them making silmarillion movies that would be amazing but i think peter jackson mights be tired of making Tolkiens movies but i hope he does anyway

Saw 1 & 2 and was so disappionted with them that i'm not gonna watch part 3.
I'm skipping it. It's unbelievable how much they added to make 3(!) films out of such a tiny book.

And the whole film is greenscreen. And they did a poor job on the CGI as well.

But hey, who am i...

I liked all 3 LOTR tho.

I agree with Elian. 3 movies? Please, not necessary.

I can't remember if I saw the first two in 3D but I did for this one and it was visually stunning....it was like you were there, not the usual occasional bit of 3D thrown in to justify the extra fee
