Without all the randomness I would have said Easter since it had IMO the best prizes. I really liked the Stonecutters, but Halloween was my favorite and got me to buy the most stuff.
Stonecutters was my favorite event ever. Singing the song is still my favorite task to set.
That is one of my favorites as well, I may have to give Krusty a few days off from walking Mr. Teeny to get the band back together.
Krusty being one of the four singers is why Mr. Teeny has been relegated to my storage. (Wish they'd give him an independent task to smoke cigars or something.)

None of the events stood out this year. EA needs to release more buildings as prizes rather than random space consuming junk like the Elvish Cave/Door.
Stonecutter's for sure. Based on one of the greatest episodes ever (I learned that the REAL number to call in an emergency is 912). The puzzles were fun, if easy, and it was completable by most everyone. Also, I love the All Seeing Eye; probably my first ever big non-character donut purchase, I couldn't imagine only seeing it in Neighborino's towns. And the Stonecutter's song task is awesome.
But the absolute best part of the event, hands down, was getting the SC skin that successfully keeps that annoying Arnie Pye out of my sky!
I started playing right when the Stonecutters event was starting, so I didn't really get how any of it worked, I didn't have a lot of the characters required to do the scroll tasks, and I didn't get the higher prizes. I think I would have really liked it if I wasn't so new.

I ranked them and ended up typing a lot. o well, here goes
Apart from prizes, neighbor visits, gameplay, and quests, a big part of what makes an event great is the atmosphere it sets. When the devs make you feel like your game has entered a whole new world, they've done their jobs. Thus, I'd rank the events like this:
1. Christmas - I love seeing the snow again, and it got me back into redesigning my town. Part 1 was nice because visiting was easy, though the prizes were not great and the crashes were irritating. Just when things started getting monotonous--as they do with every event--part 2 kicked in and everything changed. Of course, I'm biased b/c it's the most recent.
2. Stonecutters - The Stonecutter theme was fun, and the daily quests were satisfying. That said, the lodge hunting aspect to neighbor visits was really annoying and unnecessary. It needlessly made active neighbors look slightly parasitic. I think they've tried to rectify that with Christmas.
3. Valentine's Day - They did a decent job of setting a Valentine's mood. Neighbor visits were super easy, and there was something satisfying about tapping characters with big valentines cards over their heads. I enjoyed winning things on the wheel, though I was annoyed that I never landed on choo-choo and only got the free one.
4. Halloween - visits were super quick, though it was otherwise incredibly mediocre this year, IMO. The 3 phases consisted of the exact same monotonous gameplay. The slow accumulation of materials via a random number generator was very unsatisfying. Even the Halloween theme didn't do it for me like it did last year.
5. Easter - it definitely had its downsides -- the diminishing number of box attempts as the event went on made things really aggravating, and taking away my baskets until I got the Faberge egg at the very end made things worse. That said, each spin at the wheel was at least something to look forward to.
6. Clash of Clones - Could have been great -- the random raiding feature was fun. That said, a glitch where you have to keep your game off all day doesn't make for a memorable event. Also wish they would get rid of the moral decisions with respect to neighbor visits.
Stonecutters by a mile. I loved that event! After that it's hard for me to decide between Halloween and Christmas. Prize-wise I liked Halloween better and the trick-or-treating tasks were awesome, but I love the winter snow.

That would be fantastic.
