Just got on, but couldn't get on about 20 mins ago, so give it 10 or so then try again, maybe it'll work then.

I'm getting the Bart screens off and on.
In addition the game is incredibly slow for me today, in terms of logging in and going to from KL.

New for me today, instead of just not being able to get in- today we have moved to game logs on after forever on the load screen, I get 30sec to 2min and it crashes back to the splash screen suddenly, no Bart screen so far today, just tons of the slash screen and the spinning donut...... Particularly annoying since homer has a bunch of really short tasks this morning! And I can barely get on to collect/start each time, and it's kicking me in between each task at least once!
Super unhappy with connection issues at this point EA. The patches for this update were poorly tested if at all clearly.
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently

The server is simply unstable. Visiting neighbors towns is sickening with how much the screen is moving back and forth. It is what it is... but very disappointing that EA seems to either:

A.) Planned this issue with the servers, thus why phase two is dragging out so long.
B.) Can't resolve the ongoing issue with load capacity.
C.) Won't allocate resources to improve the overall experience of the gameplay (ie=**** has a near flawless game)
D.) Wants all of us to just take what we get, and if we dont like it.... we can shove a donut up our a$$.

Seriously though, this is getting old.

You didn't list what I feel is the most likely:

    E) Christmas event introduced an endless cycle of bugs that beget new bugs upon squashing.

After watching the donut spin for what seemed like forever I got in.

Tap my elf cannon to fire it off 3 times and collect bells. Then go and put Homer on the first New Years, 3 minute task.

    Close app.

When I reopen the game it's reset back to before the previous open and I have to put Homer on the first 3 minute task again (and yes I know he does the task again after he completes it the first time. I got the same dialogue and everything).

I go to re-fire my elf cannon and collect my bells again, because that's been reset, and this time it only lets me fire it once.

So, to sum up, because of all the bugs with this game I had to restart Homer's New Years task and the game robbed me of 2 elf cannon fires and the bells those firings would have produced.

Lol at this sad-sack of a pathetically bugged and barely functional game.

Hacking is a way of life now .." Just because they can " almost a game of King of the mountain...

EA is working as diligently to fix this as they can....take a break, do something novel and read a book, better yet go outside for awhile...calm the f**k down....they will fix it, you will be able to play soon....

    ITS JUST A GAME

Shoot now I can't get on today. I know it's not that big a deal but this is going to mess up my neighbor visit timer. And I want to do the new years quest :!:

As gypcandrews says, EA is working hard to fix this.
However when people attack your servers there is often only so much you can really do about it.

Sure its annoying. I like to run the New Years Day quest as well. I had Homer on a 12 hour quest when I had access. Now he's done and I can't get on. But if I am angry its at the idiots that are attacking the EA servers, not at the people of EA.

As a software developer, I know how much work goes into this game, and I try to be supportive. Please show some appreciation to the huge load of work these people do.

You are missing so much. Why are people who are dissatisfied still here? Because they like what the game is, they just want it to work. I should remind you that your rant makes me think you should calm down as well.

Hacking is not "a way of life now". It's a bunch of horrible people that get their fun stealing from you, or doing everything they can to ruin your fun. Probably because they lost too many times in Call of Duty and are having a nit fit about it. ;)

And seriously, to everyone that it matters to... Everyone has different opinions, and different ways of looking at things. Let them. It's not going to help to yell at someone because they are frustrated with something that is important to them. Because it's a game doesn't mean it's not important to someone. A lot of us have put a great deal of time into this game, have been keeping up with the event, and suddenly cannot do anything at all in the game. Yes, you're probably right that they are fixing it, gypcandrews, but it doesn't make up for all the lost time that may cost them the loss of everything they've been working for up to this point. Let's try to be understanding here, ok?

It's been slow going but I've been able to get in and visit neighbors this morning.

Unfortunately I've seen evidence of the problem. One of my neighbors, who is shown to be level 48 on the neighbor menu screen, HAS AN EMPTY TOWN AND SHOWS THEY ARE AT LEVEL ZERO.

the view is fixed at the corner where the mountains meet the water, there is snow, but not a single feature, not even the Simpsons house. It says level 0!

I'm not surprised they get hacked (ea). They make a lot of enemies. I hate them. I wish Gracie studios and fox had partnered with some other game company.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

When EA started out in the 80's, they were an amazing company. They published games made by individuals for computers like the Commodore 64 and Apple II. They made stars out of these people and gave many successful careers.

Then let's head into recent years where they made people completely hate them. Yearly updates to games that don't need yearly updates, and then the whole fiasco about online passes that would screw over anyone trying to buy a used game.

It's really depressing how they changed from one of the best companies in gaming to one of the worst. :(

    LOL. Thanks for the laugh.

Heavens to Betsy people who've spent money on the game actually expect it to work properly.
