Yeah, those jerks thinking up a ski hill for winter! Besides the ski lift didn't come out until part 2, and although there were things floating around on the web the update for family guy came out first.
Okay, maybe family guy is copying the simpsons? So what? Animation is built on plagiarism. If it weren't for someone plagiarizing the Honeymooners we wouldn't have the Flintstones. If someone hadn't ripped off Sergeant Bilko, there'd be no Top Cat. Huckleberry Hound, Chief Wiggum, Yogi Bear? Hah! Andy Griffith, Edward G. Robinson, Art Carney. Your honor, you take away our right to steal ideas, where are they gonna come from?
Ehhhh, my FG is buggy on Kindle Fire. I have to restart about 7-8 times while trying to put my Quahogians to work, more annoying than fun. Too many overlapping tapping tasks (snowmen, CIA agents)Not too long ago, the powers that be threw a snit fit accusing everyone of illegally obtaining clams , I was accused and blocked for several days(mine were earned and I had one small purchase of clams in the beginning), they seemed to forget that they give them away for completing character sets and visiting the generic Quahog. Now they are charging quite a few clams to get things in order to complete tasks. I am pretty much done with it.
Flintstones was ok, but they insisted on linking up to my Facebook after a week and blocked me because I did not grant them access to my FB info. I allow every other app to access my FB, I just, for whatever reason, decided Flintstones was being too pushy about it and decided to quit playing.
TSTO? It just flows better for me, easy to arrange things, easy to earn things, easy to complete tasks within windows of time, I get enough 'freemium' to justify my premium purchases, lucky for me though I am not a completion-ist, otherwise I would have have $700+ invested in my Springfield instead of $70.
Isn't the whole FG game pretty much a copy of TSTO? Its just more grindier and greedier.
It's actually not greedier. The premium currency is cheaper and they're a LOT more generous about handing out freebies. They do have quests that encourage you to buy some premium currency (sometimes with some bonus item as a reward) but you're free to ignore them, just like you're free to ignore Gil sales.
And now they've added a character with a 24h task to (sometimes) generate premium currency.
Their neighbourhood system sucks, though, if you don't want to be FB friends with random people. On the other hand, until recently events didn't require neighbours (and even in this case they just helped for a few bonus decos, not for the main event).
Too all you players that play both which is better
That's always going to be a subjective question. Try both and see what you prefer. But there's no reason why you can't just keep playing both.
The humour is a LOT more crude in FGQFS though (as in its source material), so it's probably not something you'd want your kids playing. Though the teen boys would probably enjoy it.
I play both, and enjoy both. There are some times where I enjoy Tapped Out more, others Family Guy. Family Guy is much easier to obtain premium currency (in the Christmas event (ended 31st Dec) I got 200-300 clams). But I think both get repetitive in their events, Family Guy obviously way more as all their events have been the same, but they should both change their stuff up a bit. Both are humorous, but Family Guy includes their ruder jokes as well.
Too all you players that play both which is better
both have advantages and disadvantages, but over the last 3 events, FGQFS has had more free content, better overall content, and gave out more premium currency via gameplay.
I don't value FG clams as highly as I value TSTO donuts. In fact, I never really thought about how many clams we got vs donuts before this discussion. The level of excitement I feel over a pixelated pink frosted donut is 10,000 times greater than getting a clam(yawn). Maybe if my FG ran more smoothly I would feel differently...the clunkiness factor may be a factor in the level of 'meh' I feel toward the game. TSTO was my first freemium game, I may be slightly more attached to it since I have almost a year more time wasted/invested in Springfield. Maybe if that smeared some pink frosting on those clams it would be easier to compare them as currency.

(runs to the app store)
It's more like playing the sims than tapped out or FG
I play both and it certainly does not crash every five mins and like the other guy said alot of games copy each other
Yeah, but it's horrible. I deleted it within 2 weeks

...not to mention S.Park again w/the brilliant:

...Looking fwd to their possible/eventual game,
& of course any further Futuramafications 8)
2 weeks? I removed it after 2 days!
Yes they do but its a lot like sims and needs a lot of micro managing. IMO
