Down again

Whenever I have a problem connecting (at least once a day, usually more) here's what usually works for me:

Close the game completely.
For iOS: double tap the home button and swipe the app up off screen (older iOS tap and hold app icon, tap red dash)
For Android: Tap Background Apps button (the square to the right of the Home button) then swipe app off screen.

Do the same for all other apps as well.

Update any apps that need updating. I know this sounds odd, but it seems to help.

Turn off device.

Turn off your router (assuming you have a separate router)

Turn off your Internet Access Device (Modem). For me that's a satellite modem. Could be a Cable modem, whatever...

Wait 15 to 30 seconds.

Turn on Internet Access Device and let it boot completely.

Turn on router.

Turn on device (I'm using both an iPad 2 and a Nexus 7 to play).

Start game.

Works almost every time.

    Slow down on the themed updates, don't cram in a level update during a themed update. It's clear you cannot keep up with the numerous bugs and glitches.

    The game was great before this holiday update lots of fun storylines, characters, buildings. So much more fun than other similar games. But honestly I'd rather have a prize wheel and a stable app.

    I can agree. I can't log in again, going on an hour. This seems to happen nearly every night. And the donuts and premium items are a catch 22. Yeah I bought them and want to spend them. But I guess I need to put away other items, because just adding new stuff causes my game to crash more. It is really frustrating. Just trying to get through the bells is crazy because I am trying to visit friends, but it crashes every few visits.
