If you feel like you should, just quit. There's nothing else to say. :(

Sorry to hear that OP. I've been frustrated as well. Regardless of event quality, connection issues, price gouging on premium items, do you still enjoy building your Springfield? Because at the end of the day, when I get bored, that's what it's all about for me.

Ok so I have been playing this game everyday since it began i'm guessing its 3/4 years I have played every event and probably completed all. However I feel its just getting boring now, I don't know if its just that at the time the events were new and exciting back then but when the game began it just seemed more fun.
I also dread to think what I have spent over the years

I keep holding out hope that the next update will be the one that makes me get addicted again but they just seem to keep getting more and more bland.

    This is indeed tragic news.

Perhaps we should all pass around the pitcher of koolaid for a mass suicide in your honor?

Come on everybody, let's all quit too because this Person is bored! Pass the noose when you're finished!

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I've only been playing since Stonecutters and I have been pretty bored lately as well. If I ever decide to "quit" the game I promise I won't start a thread on it. I'm not sure why anyone reads a thread with the word "quit" in the title if they are just going to complain about it. Maybe I am old, but I try to live by what my mother taught me "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Sadly, you'd get a better response from fellow players if you would have just asked for a list of their fears and their sleep schedules. For some reason, people are annoyed by these threads, and it just isn't one person who's annoyed.... It's all types of players. Please don't let some/most of the replies get you down further.

What initially drew you to the game? I realize that you've played for a long time, and you mentioned spending money which helps support this game's success (thank you for that!), but could you just be bored with the game, or, after coming off of multiple long events, just tired?

I'd suggest taking a break, or rediscovering what you originally enjoyed by doing something drastic like nuking and starting your town over (I know this doesn't help with past quests that aren't re playable).

Either way, I hope you find happiness in what ever direction you choose.

I have only been on the forum 4 months tomorrow and this is just the way the guys on this forum are. Just roll with it.  There not being nasty. There just fed up with all the " I quit " threads. If you want to quit just go quietly. But make sure you tell your neighbours so they can replace you. it's simple.

I've been posting on here since summer. I changed my origin username back in December. When I logged into here I had to start all over with zero posts and no avatar. I'm a newbie, but not that new. :) I guess I am just not use to the sarcasm even though it's not directed at me. I know better than to start a "I quit" thread.

Unfortunately, this section isn't as friendly as the others, and especially to those who aren't aware of the unwritten rules about quit threads... Or premium player perk threads... Or asking a question that was asked 30 minutes ago thread... Or a land thread... Or...
You get the idea. There should be a sticky thread that says to post at your own risk here, and lists the threads that are sore topics. I always feel sorry for the OPs who post unknowingly, thinking that people may care about someone else.

If you are going to quite the game at least have the decency to delete all of your friends. They don't know you are quitting and may keep you as a neighbor thinking you are on vacation or something along those lines

I really do get it. If you have been playing for so long and every day, something you've spent so much money and time on, it becomes a part of you. Sometimes people need a bit of closure maybe even send out a "so long, and thanks for all the fish" to your neighbors.

If you're bored, why not nuke your town and have some fun with a redesign?
