Milhouse's injustice

Oh, definitely. The first few couple of taps after I got Milhouse, I was disappointed when I didn't hear his voice.

I mean, come on, he's such a staple in Bart's circle of friends. A best friend. Shouldn't he be heard, too? What, did Lisa's presence made his tongue tied?

The only characters with voices in game are those voiced by:
    Dan Castellaneta
    Hank Azaria
    Harry Shearer
    Julie Kavner
    Nancy Cartwright
    Yeardley Smith

Milhouse is voiced by Pamela Hayden, so without some drastic change in the contracts, we won't be getting a voiced Milhouse :(
(This is also why Todd Flanders is voiced, but Rod Flanders is not.)

he's in I would guess at least 85% of all episodes has been a central character in countless stories and his DAD has a voice, what gives?

    Everyone loves milhouse!

Kirk is voiced by Hank Azaria. There's no mystery, here.

Thank you very much Neuroheart, I was under the impression that Kirk and Milhouse were voiced by the same person and voices were taken from the show and not especially for the game.

Bit of a shame as these are beloved characters and a lot of money goes into the game but it is what it is!

I'm assuming you've probably answered this question a few times before so thanks again for replying.

Well, there's the mystery of why EA is too cheap to pay Pamela Hayden. I promise to buy $10 of donuts if they pay her. (Is it Rod Flanders who says, "Imagination Christmas!"? If so, it'll totally be worth it.)

You're welcome. A lot of voice clips are taken from the show, probably even most of them. But using someone's voice in a new medium still requires a clause in their contract. We can only guess why the rights to all the voices aren't available, but clearly they aren't. It's a shame that we might never get some of these voices in-game.

True! He is voiced as well. I presume that was negotiated solely for the game.

I wish Martin was voiced too.

It's really amazing that they aren't trying to rectify this. I mean our competitor game (FG) has EVERY character voiced, including Patrick Stewart, Vinny, Diane Simmons, etc. Ranging from random in game celebs as themselves, to their 1 off characters, to main characters (well in this example, former main character).

I was just about to mention that.

If you want to save money by not paying voice actors I can sorta get that, but then don't charge us $20 for a bleeping whale and $10 for a single C-List character. EA doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds them, they want the whole arm.

It's a shame, but I guess it doesn't matter too much to me since I have the sound turned off 99% of the time.

Yeah, it's really weird that he isn't voiced.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it will never happen though. Contracts can be re-negotiated.

Yup. If the voice actress agrees to have Milhouse in the game, then we will have Milhouse. Only time will tell. Too bad we no longer have Maude Flanders.

    Still makes me sad, though.

I'd settle for better sound bytes from Marge...Patty and Selma having better lines than Marge is a big injustice to the matriarch of the family 8)
