Also on now for me in SE US here. Just now was able to get on after nearly a half hour with server problems. I seem to be getting them more and more lately. At least twice a day now.

I can't get into my game, have been trying for half an hour now. It happens almost every day, several times, this last week.

Used my cell phone as a hotspot and got on no problem. Different server?

Thanks for the replies. After the Christmas event ended all the problems I had connecting ceased too. I was relieved about that. Last night's attempts to get into the game mad me wonder if something else was going on.

I don't know. Can't see why they would have different servers for mobile and hardline connections ... it's not like the game or data is any different. More likely it is a sign that it isn't actually a server issue, but an issue with something in the connection chain between your ISP and the EA server. Hence, your mobile connection works fine, but your hardline connection doesn't. All it takes is one DNS server to be offline somewhere in the chain and your connection will stop dead in its tracks, and Bart will appear on your device.

To be honest, I think the reason connection issues are so unpredictable (some people get a lot, others (like me) get practically none) is because it is mostly nothing to do with EA's server but to do with the connection itself.

Genuine server issues are more likely to create an outage across the board, such as on New Year's Day.

I've had server issues daily for almost a week now in SE US. It resolves in about an hour each time, but happens at least 3 separate times throughout the day. I have started sending characters on longer tasks to compensate. It was better when the Christmas update went away for awhile, but has been steadily getting worse for me.

I occasionally have a server issue at 5am in UK.

Also approx 7pm which is usually tv and mealtime anyways.

I am also having issues a few times a day. I am in the US Northeast. Sometimes I can get on and my hubby can't. And vice versa. Both using the same Internet and the same equipment. We each have an iPad.

This has been going on for over a week now.

I have not! Which is surprising. Usually after a new update it always happens! Just servers get very busy due to everyone jumping on for said update.

I havent been able to get on for the past 30 mins or so. Seems like this happens every couple of days for me, often in the evening.

I was just looking at the time from my 1/26 post, and then tonight's post. Both were within 40 minutes of each other. Not sure what that means, but I was on a few different times earlier. So this is frustrating as usual.

It's been happening for weeks now.

I'm sitting here with the Bart screen clicking the retry button and my wife is 3 feet away playing just fine.

Yesterday it was opposite. I guess it's payback as I laughed at her yesterday cause she was so mad.

Both have IPAD and interned is not down as I'm posting this message
