Wow that's terrible! And terrible that she was in a situation where no one was with her despite her being in that state too... Stay with your drunk friends people.

Also if your in Flooding areas - not snowy but flooding - remember the whole "If it's flooded, forget it"

Sorry to hear that Sue. So sad! It doesn't take much to slip and fall and be stranded somewhere, intoxicated or not.
