If you look at the upper right corner of the menu that has the Christmas lights, you'll see a little (-) sign. If you click that, the facade option will be hidden.

You can do the same thing with skins for people. I'm not sure if they're linked, though. Hiding the facades might hide skins too.

However, it resets itself with each log in. Would be nice to minimize & keep it there

If you have the Christmas lights activator/deactivator, you can turn off all your Christmas lights all at once.
