Yes I noticed this too. I use primarily use an android, but still use my old iPhone for friend visits and it happened once on that device too.

I noticed that I now land in random places in my town, rather than my normal landing zone. I didn't realize it was where I last exited the game; I'm going to keep an eye on that.

This is happening to me too. Also, if I was in Krustyland last when playing, it will load Krustyland when I come back into the game, as if it's still running in the background. The music will instantly play when I tap the TSTO icon, then after about 3 or 4 seconds, I'm in my game. Normally takes more than 30 seconds for me.

Yup, exactly the same thing here as well.

When I log back into the game, no origin screen and it just jumps back into me SF, wherever I was hovering over when I quit out the time before.

    Different but very handy methinks

I noticed on my kindle (Android in disguise) that viseting friends is much faster. I always kill tsto process when I finish playing so havent noticed a change in game start-up.

Surprising, for sure, but it's pretty good. :) Overall, I think the game is running a lot better. Whatever they did, they did good. :)

So I just did three tests to see if I had this behavior reported above.

1 open game, zoom to an unusual area, close game, clear from recent apps list, open other game, then return too TSTO.

Sideshow Bob ruined results. (Bob-like grumble)

    2. Same as above, game opened on HQ

    3. Same as above, didn't open another app. Game opened on HQ.

    4. Same as above, but left game in recent apps list. Opened game from that list, and it resumed on the remote, zoomed in area!

So it appears to not be clearing its cache on app close. as long as you reopen from the recent apps screen, it resumes where you left off. Interesting!

Which device do you have, Junk? Could have something to do with RAM or what else you have running.

As a feature of Android is to eliminate un-needed background apps when the resources are needed, I believe that would have an effect on this for you.

On another note, I keep getting crashes. Oddly enough, it crashes twice, then runs great for the rest of my session, even if it includes visiting all friends. Weird?

    It's a nexus 7 (2012) running Kk444.

But the tests were only confirming what others have reported, I was tracing the conditions.

As long as you leave it in recent apps list, and reopen it from there, it seems to resume from where you left it.

I hope this change is permanent too. The FG game resumes without even showing the splash screen first. I appreciate this when I accidentally hit the android home button.

Think twice before updating to Lollipop 5.0.2.
I've got the same tablet and the main thing I use it for is TSTO. Therefore, I was pretty unhappy when the game started running really slowly (not all the time, but most of the time) after the Lollipop upgrade. I downgraded back to 4.4.4, but this was not easy.

I did the exact same thing!

Lollipop was a crash fest. I blew that out and gave CM11 a try. I really liked the extra features, but it was a little too laggy, so i went back to 4.4.4 Lollipop may be great for newer devices but not this one.

    Happy tapping!
