I wasn't playing Halloween 2013 so this is by far the best free donut event for me. I usually get 1, maybe 2 bonuses at the end of an event but that is stretching it. I am now almost at my third and there are days left, managing 4k+ pies a day easy at moment.

First bonus I picked 3 the first time woo!

Halloween 2013 was the biggest donut win for me. Halloween 2014 while I heard of lots of people hitting a UFO and getting 30 donut prizes that never happened for me unfortunately.. I did still win donuts just not the 30 bundle.. I've earned probably 15 donuts so far just on the rod/pie bonus during this event which is great but not my best ever. That doesn't include the 2-3 donuts I find visiting friends, although that's going to stop for a while since we have FP's now.

Halloween 2014 was the best for donuts for me as i got over 150 donuts during that event.

and 150K for extra chances at donuts is well worth it.
i will gladly take both chances and spend 300k for all 3 donuts.

i still have not purchased the 3 most expensive land plots and do not have the oil rig yet either but there is no rush and donuts are hard to come by.

i had almost 6 million saved up before level 50 came out and took a chunk of that away.

For donuts? I consider that to be cash well spent!

Absolutely. I will always walk away from a bonus chance with 3 donuts, whether it cost nothing or $300,000.

Agreed, I got well over 100 free donuts from the Halloween 2014 event. At one point it seemed like I was getting them on about every third or fourth treat bag I opened! I'm not able to play this event often enough to get too many donut bonuses, as I will be only getting Dr. Colossus later today.
    New neighbors always welcome!

I've only been playing since July of last year, so the Best Free Donut Event for me was hands-down Halloween 2014. I received 90 donuts from shooting down UFOs (30x3), 26 donuts from opening Treat Bags (2x8 ), and 20 donuts from the Alien Nation (Halloween) Quest finale. That's 136 Donuts from Halloween 2014 for me. If you also count the 10 donuts from the Moog Trivia Quest (episode Tie-In that ran during the Event), and 10 donuts rewarded by the Space Mutant's quest (premium character that came with the Drive-In offered during Halloween), that'd bring the total to 156.

Note that I started keeping my Donut Log after Clash of Clones, but I don't recall getting many then. I got a disappointing 15 donuts from Prestige Bonuses (3x5) at Christmas 2014, and 10 from New Years.

So far from Supers I have won 18 from Carbon Rods Super Bonus (3x6), and as of this morning I've won the Pie SB 5 times for 15 donuts (3x5), bringing my total from this event at this point to 33. Assuming I keep pace reaping ~8k Pies/day, I'll get 27 more donuts by 03/10, so I will have won 60 donuts by the start of Issue 3. That'll be a pretty good half-way point, more than doubling the entire Christmas/New Years winnings. And with Issues 3 and 4 yet to come, who knows? Suffice to say, Supers is poised to take the crown from Halloween. And for my sake, I hope it does!

As for the Bonus Donut Game, I can't stress enough how absolutely positively truly worthy it is to spend game money for 3 donuts. Whenever given the chance at donuts, whether is $50k/try for Level-ups or $150k/try for Events, I _ALWAYS_ walk away with 3 donuts, sometimes I get lucky and spend $0, sometimes I have to pay for two extra chances to open the third bag. It's not even a question. Do it!

"issue 2" is going to be good for donuts, I imagine getting around 9 bonuses for 27 donuts.

I remember Halloween 2013 was very generous with donuts, I think I got 120 for that event. I remember because I bought the casino with it after the event ended.

Halloween was a donut bonanza, but this event is turning out to be promising so far. I haven't keep track of all donuts but I'm on my fourth round I think for phase 2  Love donuts however I can get them. I don't have all the aspirationals so that I can keep enough cash in the bank for the donut boxes if necessary. I always leave with 3 donuts.

What's the donut "trick" that someone mentioned above?

I had forgotten about the UFO donuts from last year's Halloween - I think I landed 60 from it. I might get that many from Superheroes - we still have a while to go!

Reading this thread, I now have the impression that Superheroes will probably be the best "hard-work based" donut event. The others paid out more to some people but not others, whereas Superheroes comes with a more level playing field: the more you grind, the more donuts you get...

I'm enjoying the donuts for this event, especially as I was one of the unlucky ones during Halloween 2014 that didn't get a 30 donut drop :)

Because of how many donuts I earned during Halloween 2013, I actually kept track on paper during Halloween 2014. I run two towns. One earned 134 donuts and the other earned 162. What's funny is the lower one is my main premium town and the other is freemium except for the occasional gold scratcher.

I've already had 5 bonuses.. Will be 6 possibly on my next visit.. last night got my pie bomb bonus and xp bonus consecutively.. it was awesome.

And I always go for extra chances.. though I only have a few mil saved up, I think it's worth it for free (non-premium) sprinks.

So far, I've gotten 15 donuts from bonus boxes this event.

Halloween 2013 I got about 150 donuts from popping ghosts, completing some of the limited time tasks, and getting lots of bonus boxes.
Stonecutters I got about 110 donuts from completing the quest, tapping Homer at the table, and getting lots of bonus boxes.
Halloween 2014 I got maybe 80 donuts, but I had limited luck with those flying saucers. (My bf Patchwork got well over 200 donuts that event.)

So I'm going to say no, this probably isn't the event with the highest donut payout. Fittingly, Halloween events seem to be the time to get free treats.

Add my hat into the "never-got-UFO-donuts" club... :(

So by far this is the most generous an event has been in terms of donut giveaways!

... but keep it down, will you? You want EA to change the drop rate?!

Things I have recieved this week in Tapped Out:

1)Helen Lovejoy with the Municipal House of Pancakes
    2)Dr. Colossus
    3)Plopper with Crap Silo
    4)Bartman
    5)Zenith City Lofts
    6)Zenith City Apartments
    7)Zenith City Phone Booth
    8)Book Burning Mobile

It's been an eventful week in Tapped Out, and to think this time last year we were in a huge lull!

Absolutely it is. Once you are at endgame and have millions of dollars and no other means to convert cash to donuts this is a no-brainer.

It has been for me so far...multiple bonus boxes for several dozen donuts, multiple chances per day to obtain boxes, multiple days left in this portion of the event.

I draw the line between bonus boxes, chance bonuses, and pre-planned bonuses. These are three distinct bonuses that should be considered separately. The boxes are guaranteed after X amount of extra currency, the chance bonuses are extras you could earn from obtaining items(bags, ammunition), and pre-planned bonuses are what everyone can earn by doing a certain quest or tapping a certain item x amount of times...

Purely on bonus boxes this is the best for me. For bonuses overall this is still the best by a hair because we are still a few days away from Issue 3 and at a rate of two per day I am looking at possibly 24 more donuts...then you still have Issue 3's bonuses and whatever Issue 4's bonuses are- so by the end of the event you could have a lot more donuts than you ever had before
