You got to Level 50 in 3 months? That's really impressive. It took me forever to get to the highest level, but that's because I never had a house farm and I used a lot of money on decorations since I wanted my town to always look nice. There's still a lot to keep me interested in the game, since I still need some of the land and most of the Aspirationals. For me the quests were always a nuisance to be honest. I barely even read the speech bubbles and I hate sending my characters on tasks that don't line up with the timing of the other characters' tasks. I guess for me the motivation was always the town design not the story-line.

Dude, I am down to 1 task every now and then, and they are just the randomly spawning ones.

Every now and then if I don't touch anything my little book sits at 0. It was odd but now it's old news.

What you are experiencing is typical of any addiction, when the potency is no longer sufficient to satisfy your dependency on it. Basically, the crack isn't strong enough.
