First off, I don't see any tasks in the walkthrough spoiler that requires growing anything at Cletus' Farm. So I don't think you have an issue.

However... If you want to cancel growing corn, all you have to do is store the farm in your inventory and bring it back out.

That will also work for any other task - except those involving Homer outside, Lisa outside, or the Simpson's House. If Homer or Lisa are on a task in a building other than the Simpson's house, you can still cancel that task by storing the building they're in.

For example: if Homer is doing a task in the Brown House, you can store the Brown House and Homer will be released from his task. Be aware though that it will also reset the payout timer for the building, as well as releasing any other character doing a task in the building.

Well, I did a little more research and I stand corrected: There are tasks at Cletus' farm.

BUT! I'm also growing corn at Cletus's farm in both my games, and when I sent the Sea Captain and Wille to Collect Crop Samples it didn't disturb the corn at either farm.

Now I don't know about the Plant Sterilized Seeds task. It might not disturb the existing crop, but I guess I'll see. I've got 19 days left on my Corn and I sure don't want to have to cancel it.

I hope your right that it won't affect the quest but if it does I'll try storing the farm thanks , the glitch that shuts down job tasks is really getting annoying normally I wouldn't care about what is growing as I had already done cleatus's quests.

If you close the game completely and restart your device it will clear up for a while. It keeps getting so bad on my devices I can't even assign tasks - it won't stay open long enough for me to tap. Doesn't matter if I tap on the character assigner or the character. I think it's a memory leak in the game, but that's just a guess.
