Cecil daily task glitch

Can't see anyone else has posted this, and as always apologies to them if they did...

As soon as you have completed one of Cecil's daily tasks, and before you get taken to Cecil to collect your currency, click on your friends icon. Then go into one of your friends towns and you'll get the reward. Go back to your town, and you'll get the reward again. Tried it a few times and it's worked each time.

Let me know how you all get on with it

Hmmm interesting...I will try this when my next 4 hour task is done.

I just tried this and can confirm that I got double the currency. I looked at my reward total before I finished the task and got twice that when I came back into my town. Nice find!

    Great tip!

Just to confirm, you first click the thumbs up completion icon, then click your neighbor button? I'm excited to try this one

    What glitch was that?

And I concur, maybe the title should be "Nothing to see here." Forum regulars are SURE to click that. :)

Or maybe at least remove the 'extra currency' from the title. Probably too late now, anyway. Hopefully this'll at least make up for getting home from a meeting at 7 only to find a 6 hour task waiting.

    Thanks OP!

Glad you've all found it helpful! I've removed the 'extra currency' bit from the title now.

And yes you click on the thumb icon and then go straight to your friends list :)

This could make a huge difference. Thank you!

He shows up in your neighbours town with your rewards - and then is also there when you return to your town.

There may be a similar glitch with the payout from mutant sprouts. I'm not sure so I haven't mentioned it before...

I'll go to Krustyland and receive a payout from the sprouts I dropped, then return to Springfield and get another payout.

jonjamesp, was this something you figured out by trying different things, or did you stumble on it accidentally?

Smohqy- would love to claim I spent ages trying to find something, but it was a complete accident. Pretty lucky one it seems as it's helped quite a few people out.
