That's actually really cool, congrats. Would love to see your town, is it in the showcase?

Yep, 3 buildings for Indolence in this Event - Old Simpsons Farm, the Italian Villa (w/ Francesca), and the Simpsons Houseboat (craftable).

If it's not too much trouble, can I ask which buildings/items you have for Consumerism? That's the only category I have at only 4.5 stars, because I don't want a bunch of Kwik-E-Marts in my town. I bet you have a lot of older items and Premium items, right?

Premiums can really make the difference. I haven't doubled up my KEMs yet, and I've managed 5 star consumerism. I'd list them out for you, but I'm about to fall asleep. Maybe tomorrow.

I have one of everything & still only have 4.5. Indolence is my problem.

My spreadsheet says "560 Indolence" when you get all 3 items from Terwilligers.
My guess is DIrishB has a single double-up hidden somewhere (possibly accidentally, eg. Elf Home) that means he has 5*.

Otherwise you get 5* when you get the Simpsons Houseboat (assuming no further updates/changes). :)

Send me a friend request. I'm sure there's at least one or two friends I have that don't play anymore. Always happy to make room for forum members on my friends list! :)

Exactly. When I read about those all coming out during the event, and in combination with all the Indolence buildings we've gotten lately from the Superhero event and Lovejoy update, I knew we had to be getting close to that tipping point. I'd been at 4.5 stars on Indolence for awhile, but I hoped those three Indolence buildings would get me there, and sure bough the Italian Villa did. The Simpsons houseboat will just add to that. :)

Yup. I've got 'em all. As a major Simpsons fan who spent the early 2000's collecting the entire World of Springfield line of Simpsons action figures and playsets, when I heard about this game coming out I knew it'd be right up my alley. Started playing in August 2012, and have been collecting one of every item released. All buildings, decorations, and characters/costumes since the game was released.

So I have all the Limited Time and Premium buildings that boost Consumerism. In fact that (and every other category other than Indolence) I've had at 5 stars for a long time.

No, thanks to you and the huge amount of work you put in with every update to keep us all informed. It's hugely appreciated.

    Regular:

    Herman’s Military Antiques
    Sir Putt-A-Lots
    Springfield Grocery Store

    ZiffCorp Office Building

    My First Tattoo
    Just Rainsticks
    Crypto Barn
    Ferris Wheel

    Premium:

    Caesar’s Pow-Wow Indian Casino
    ClausCo
    Costington’s
    Present Depot
    Santa’s Workshop
    Springfield Mall
    Mr. Sparkle Billboard

That list is about 6 months old so the newer buildings that affect consumerism aren't listed. But that's the majority.
    Hmmm

I have one of everything & still only have 4.5. Indolence is my problem.

You sure you have everything? Including Premium and Limited Time stuff like Bad Dream House, Ultrahouse 2, Pumpkinhouse, Kane Manor, Gingerbread House, Elf Home, Cool Brown House, Beach House, etc.

Did you already buy the Italian Villa? Have you unlocked everything from Act 1?

You have to be missing at least one house to still be at 4.5. If you store your holiday related buildings that may be why.

Not at this time. I don't mind the training walls as you can easily hide extras behind buildings.

I promise that isn't the case. I only have one of every building, including the houses. The only one that may count is the Destroyed Brown House from the Superhero event. I have that and a normal Brown House due to the different looks. But I'm pretty sure the Destroyed Brown House doesn't count towards Indolence (counts as a decoration I think).

Please, feel free to send me a friend request to verify for yourself.

There has to be some Indolence building from a previous event or update (Limited Time more likely) that you guys are overlooking... either that or I'm one of the few sporting the Destroyed Brown House decoration (which I'm pretty sure counts towards Vanity--or nothing at all--instead of Indolence).

Here's the list of Indolence affecting buildings in TSTO:

    Simpson House
    Flanders House
    Van Houten House
    Muntz House
    Wiggum House
    Sanjay's House
    Lovejoy Residence
    Skinner House
    Apu's Apartment
    Krabappel Apartment
    Frink's Lab
    Burns Manor
    Fat Tony's Compound
    Wolfcastle's Mansion
    Mansion of Solid Gold
    Krusty's Mansion
    Quimby Compound
    D'Amico Summer Home
    Rancho Relaxo
    Cletus's Farm
    Willie's Shack
    School Bus
    Brown House
    Purple House
    Blue House
    Pink House
    White House
    Orange House
    Springfield Retirement Castle
    Zenith City Apartments
    Zenith City Lofts
    Kane Manor
    Beach House
    Old Simpson Farm
    Italian Villa
    Simpson Houseboat (upcoming)

If we count those as adding 10 points each that puts us at 350 (360 after the Simpson Houseboat is released).

I believe the following also count towards Indolence (may be wrong on some):

    Lincoln's Cabin
    Cool Brown House
    Spooky House
    Rigellian Tribal Hut
    Macaroni's Shed
    Gingerbread House
    Writer's Building
    Fever Cabin
    Santa's Village
    Elf Cave
    Ice Palace
    The Castle of Equalia
    Superior Squad HQ
    Crap Silo
    Bartman Cave
    Death Mountain
    Volcano Lair
    Wrecked Brown House
    Blarney Castle

Even if all of those added 10 points it still comes up a bit short, and odds are some of those don't count towards Indolence. However, do we know if some of the Indolence buildings have a higher point total? Like 15 or 20 instead of 10? Perhaps the Limited Time or Premium Indolence buildings have a higher point total than the regular buildings?

All I can tell you is that I have 5 stars without doubling up on anything. Feel free to send me a friend request so you can check out my town and see for yourselves.

Congrats on the 5 star status, DIrishB

My town balances on the fence with indolence and consumerism, but I consider myself a minimalist. I have maybe less than half of the houses that count toward indolence visible. Small neighborhoods without a white house and only one brown house (and the smoking one, but I thought it was only a decoration). Many of my indolence contributing houses and museums are in storage. Hiding elf homes is my secret there.

Same with consumerism. Only 1 KEM. I have the least allowed while maintaining a 5 star town, with hiding several buildings. I've provided a link in my signature if anyone is bored enough to check it out. Please understand that the linked site doesn't show the latest buildings, so it's not entirely a perfect rendition, but you can at least see how I waste land.

Good call, completely forgot about those affecting Indolence. That helps explain it some...

Very well may be the case. That too further helps.

All I can say is that I have 5 stars on Indolence (and all other categories) without using doubles.

Of course, it took almost 3 years and a lot of money spent on donuts getting there.

And, since I'm such a hopeless completist, I'll be continuing my trend of collecting it all, just for fun.

Of course, available land is going to be a big problem. After this event is over I'll probably only have enough room for 2-3 more buildings total.

It gets crowded displaying everything (though I think I've done a pretty good job designing and fitting everything in)... but at least I finally have my 5 stars!

Thanks, barry. I've attempted to follow the unofficial map of Springfield created about ten years back that you can find online. Admittedly, due to space becoming tight, I've had to just place some buildings wherever I had room.

I am planning a major redesign soon to get rid of some cross roads and make more room for buildings, at which point I'll reorganize everything to match the online map.

Thank you. I've been looking for that list without much luck.

Do you have all the Indolence affecting buildings? All I can tell you is that I do (except the Simpsons Houseboat, obviously), and my Indolence is finally at 5 stars, and I don't have any doubles at all of the Indolence buildings (or any other buildings for that matter).

I'm not sure why other completists aren't. Perhaps my game is glitched in some way?
