Hoarding Mutant Seeds

I assume opera masks will be included among the rewards for seeds in Act III. If you think you'll need a lot of masks, perhaps it makes sense to hold off dropping seeds until then.

However, I'm guessing most people who are hoarding have in mind that they might want to help neighbors who are struggling to finish the event. The downside to this strategy is that neighbors who aren't playing as frequently are less likely to capture seeds you drop. Still, it's something I've done, and I'm sure I'll do again.

For the most part, I think of seeds, gremlins, etc. as little more than a way of saying Hi!

I don't see a point, the max worth of a 100 seeds is 400 masks and 800 mixed currency. You'd get much less than that.

Such a tiny amount during the length of the event to be worth hoarding for me. Plus I like to give them out to neighbors as I get them. And find it is nice surprise to receive them as well. Helps motivate me to play sometimes.

Could be that a lot of people have 100 seeds because everyone is getting the 50 seed prize this week, and some are getting double. I got to a little over 100 seeds last night after I got the prize. It felt good to go through all my neighbors this morning and be able to drop at least one bouncing baby seed in every town that had space.

I hoard about 5-10 seeds before I get rid of them. I dropped all 50 of those in the prize pack in 10 minutes. Burning through those is my strategy because I want to get upgrades as quickly as I can.

You're not guaranteed to get masks from them. I get mostly craft items.

This is what I've done, waited until I have 100+ to drop at least one in every town, as I'd never be able to keep track of where I've dropped seeds otherwise, and I want to make sure everybody benefits. Of course I also don't find much value in them, but that's just my personal opinion!

I was going to ask about this. Yesterday I won the 50 seeds twice. I dropped the first lot on my neighbours but should I hang on to the second batch of 50 for act 3, seeing as I got them for free anyway? Might give me a slight head start.

I give them to my lovley neighbors who are so nice to give me seeds, I know that "other Springfield" gives a bigger payout but I dont care, I give them to people I know who are currently online to tab them. Seeds are not so big deal in this event, upgrade to max and be smart with the random tasks also tab the mutants (25) payout and you get all you whant. So seeds are a gift to nice neighbors no more no less :P

Some are also doing seed exchanges. They are waiting until a neighbour they can exchange with is online so they are both in the game at the same time. Both will drop 10 back and forth for a while so they can guarantee max payout.

There is no advantage to hoarding the seeds. However being that the friend visit rewards are very minor in the scope of things, people are probably building it up to be able to hit all neighbors.

There's not a terrible advantage to visiting daily unless you need cash, a minor amount of donuts, or event currency. I haven't visited much in Act II since 1/2 hour of my time is more valuable then spending it tapping 1-3 clones in friends towns and dropping a seed in particular towns. This way when I do visit, I can drop 2-5 in every town.

I also feel that the time of day that I drop them, most may not even see them assuming they are in similar time zones. Typically it's late at night when I do decide to do visits. So even if I were to drop them, some will probably go untapped.

I'm currently saving mine up so I have enough to give one to every neighbor. Since we can't tap buildings currently, its the only way someone can know you visited them.
