Tapped out in real life?

I have a mate in college who plays everyday just like me and you. I first found out that he played it when in class his phone said 'better them than me' in Homer's voice. Straight away I told him about how to play Valentines day 2014 (the event at the time) and about the jebediah springfield easter egg. It's good to have a friend that I see every week playing the game. Welcome to the forum Rex.

Yes I've come across a couple of people who played tapped out, one was in a hospital waiting room, it was fairly quiet in there then Homer suddenly boomed across the room much to their embarrassment.

I've actually never seen anyone else play it in real life! I have a few real life friends who play and I've seen them play it, but never a random stranger.

I had a coworker who I found out played the game. We were discusssing something or other, and when I mentioned the game, he said that he played too. Unfortunately for me, he was not as committed to the game as I am since he has not logged on in close to a year (he no longer works here either). I have room on my list, so I keep him around (and every couple months or so his buildings reset).

Most people I've met who played this game saw me playing it. Sadly they were people who quit the game. I got a few people into it but most either quit it or play once in a while. Those who did stick around stopped paying much attention to this game when the family guy game came out.

Oh well. I suppose it's not for everyone. I try not to play the game in public though. It's hard to play on a phone, and I always feel weird being glued to my phone for that long.

Not me. I did have my nephew, at my urging, to play the game and was my neighbor but abandoned his town after a couple of months.

My wife and I have played for a while - me since the fall 2012 relaunch, her a few months later. A few of our friends did for a while, but they turned out to be quitting quitters.

I did once see a stranger playing on a streetcar, and have regretted since that I didn't strike up a conversation!

I made my brother play to get the early friends achievement but that's all. My cousins once removed used to play but no longer do.

I've never seen a stranger but I did discover one of my friends playing the game. He had been playing almost as long as me and was quite devotee to the game but oddly (at least to me), made no effort to design his town. He just liked collecting everything and playing the events.

Phone games are a guilty pleasure, I think most people hide the fact that they play.

The only time I ever came across a stranger playing was while I was waiting in line at the post office during the Christmas season. The lady in front of me was playing on her phone. We struck up a conversation about the game, but didn't befriend each other in the game.

I'm too busy playing to notice what others are doing. But I have 4 relatives playing, so I definitely have seen RL people playing :-)

I have two friend IRL that play TSTO. One still plays daily, and the other hasn't played for a few months. He got burned out after one of the events.

I've never seen anyone playing it either, but I rarely see people playing games in public anyway. Only if we're all in a long line waiting for something. :)
