No one's forcing you to continue to play the event. Other than the annoying tasks on most characters' lists, you can just keep sending characters on money tasks and ignore the Bob clones wandering around town.
I can't remember a more unenjoyable, grueling event since I began playing Tapped Out in 2013.
You must have blocked out Easter. Not that I blame you.
This wasn't my favorite event, but at least when I craft something, I get what I want, not a chance to maybe get something I want. At least when I grind for currency, I can get something.
I also feel like a lot of people are ignoring the prize track. Only some of the items were craftables; the characters were all on the prize track, and music notes were plentiful.

Welcome to the forum :-) (Edit: ghallmark814 beat me to it, but still)
I kind of liked the event, especially after scratching my head, wondering if I'm really too old for this stuff, checking the forum and understanding that I wastn't the only one confused. After that, I kind of got the hang of it. Glad It's soon (hopefully) over though, it's been a bit too long, and I haven't slept enough the past month

Hello and welcome to the forum. I waited this long to welcome you to test your patience. I have learned you are a wise, patient tapper. I wish you many years of prosperity in donuts, in game cash and XP. Again, welcome to the forum and happy tapping.
Err... Who is she? Is she supposed to be from a newer season or something?
She's a Doctor Who character.
Not just a doctor who character.. she's the fricking Mistress.
this!
Not to be confused with The Rani which is who we usually think all new characters will turn out to be, or river song in a different regeneration.

I'm honestly sorry if this sounds rude, but I'm going to say what I think here .... If you don't like the event, as said above, don't play it. Seriously, boycott the game because you don't like the event? That's going a bit overboard in my opinion. Just move on and play when the event is over, or play as normal until the game itself is normal again.
I hope you enjoy it, but I also remind you that no matter what they do, there's no chance everyone will like it. Let's hope that the next event is kinder to you.
I understand many of you liked the Terwilligers event, but I can't remember a more unenjoyable, grueling event since I began playing Tapped Out in 2013. I'm grateful to have Sideshow Bob now, but the mechanics of this event were simply unbearable. Absurdly expensive items to craft, with the same currency needed to both craft and update. Tapped Out ceased being a fun game and became a boring, repetitive, exhausting race against the clock to craft items that aren't even all that spectacular. And what's with the ambiguous end date? I feel like EA is taunting us or something.
I respect that some of you will disagree with me, and that's ok. But I will not be opening Tapped Out until I know the event has been removed. I simply can't stand it any longer. Hopefully the update will come tonight/tomorrow.
Love this forum, FYI! And I've loved events of the past, especially the Superhero and Treehouse of Horror events.
I send my characters on 12 hour tasks twice a day, so now pushing towards 100 characters, I'm now having to scroll down to 12-hours for almost every single one of them because event tasks take priority. It's laborious doing that at the best of times, but with the event still running, I'm gonna have to stop playing until the update as it's become such a chore.
Let me tell you what didn't happen during this event. No random boxes where I wasted a ton of donuts just so I could MAYBE get a prize I wanted. And I'm not stuck with 100s of fences. I'll give it to you that this event was a grind with some outrageous currency needed to craft. But the things I wanted multiples of, I saved until the end. And what do you know? They dropped the amounts needed! I didn't even end up with any of those flower walls because I didn't want any! That alone made me enjoy this event. I love how this forum figured out that we needed to upgrade the buildings first, it made the event fun and easy. I have taken long breaks from the game before and I always come back wanting more. Sometimes a break is the best thing.

I have no idea who that is, so I hope it's just going to be an episode tie-in and not a whole event.
We need Maggie.
Anyway OP, I completely understand getting sick of seeing the Terwilliger stuff still up. I'm back to earning regular cash, so the thing I hate most is having to scroll through a bunch of tasks for every character just to get to the one I want. If you feel you have to take a few days off, great! Unfortunately I'm too hooked to take time off. :P

Aw shucks!
And thank you all. I mean that.

Ok! See you on the other side!
I have sympathy with the OP.
P.S. Welcome.
