I'm still trying to wrap my brain around WHY the OP is so mad...
I can only think of two things after reading the first post.
1. The OP is OCD and hates not having ALL stars filled and/or hates the look of the vandalized building. This I actually understand.
2. It's a fiscal thing. The OP is mad about the .5% loss in revenue. This seems silly if it is the case. I'm pretty sure you'd make more from the revenue that you normally wouldn't get compared to the .5% loss...
I'm not super great at math but I'm not super bad either...
I'd go for option 3. OP doesn't know training walls solve the problem.

I'm more than okay with getting and giving graffiti!
I'll tap anything with few exceptions, the one being my neighbors crops. And even for those if they are wilted I'll tap without any guilt.
I would never tap anyone's corn :!: However, that being said, AthenaMuze if you are reading this I tapped your wilted crop the other day and then I noticed that it was corn :!: :!: I hope I didn't mess it up for you, I didn't think corn could wilt. On the bright side for me I got a donut for it.
Bottom line: I like my Springfield nice with its 5-star rating!!!
And yet, instead of doing some research, or asking nicely how to keep your righteousness from falling, you scream about people who are actually being good neighbors by giving you a payout from a building that otherwise doesn't pay out. Also, cleaning graffiti raises righteousness, so they're giving you the opportunity to boost that rating.
Good luck with all that.
Well, that's not really wholly truthful. Yes, it does give a payout from a building that doesn't normally, but you'd get the same amount of money from a building which does pay out in addition to the money you'd normally get
What?? You don't get extra payout from handshakes, just a reset timer. On brown houses and other tiny time buildings, you don't even get that. So no, you do not very the "same amount" as graffiti plus a building's payout. That's completely untrue.
Next time you get a handshake, count how much money you get from the building when you tap, and compare it to how much you normally get from that building. It may not be exactly the same amount due your multiplier bonus, I suppose.

I'm really confused.
I don't have any brown buildings with handshakes, I want to compare but can't.
What is your point? How much do YOU get from a brown house, a brown house with a handshake, and from Moe's?
Are you saying, we get different amounts from the brown house and the brown house with a handshake?
I'm not challenging you, I really don't know and I've been playing for a long time and probably should know the answer.
I thought the handshakes just reset the timers.
Edit: the multiplier should make no difference.
The multiplier is the bonus of the revenue. I'm not sure how that could change between two of the same buildings?

I've never noticed or heard of a difference in revenue before, and I live on this forum.

I've definitely had a larger payout from a Brown House with a handshake recently. Of course, I just logged into my game to find no handshakes on Brown Houses - but I will try to get a screenshot when I can.
I don't mind the graffiti because I like getting REVENGE  hahahaha (that's part of the game)
and I might graffiti others so they can get revenge on me, and if they do then I know they are watching what I'm doing and not just visiting me for the sake of it.. If that makes sense. lol

¿Que que what?
Dr. Hibbert: Homer, I'm afraid you'll have to undergo a coronary bypass operation.
Homer: Say it in English, Doc.
Dr. Hibbert: You're going to need open heart surgery.
Homer: Spare me your medical mumbo jumbo.
Dr. Hibbert: We're going to cut you open, and tinker with your ticker.
Homer: Could you dumb it down a shade?

"Are you saying, we get different amounts from the brown house and the brown house with a handshake?"
Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. I don't know the exact amount for the brown house with and without a handshake, but I currently have a handshake on a Kwik-E-Mart, and conveniently on Moe's as well. Clearing Moe's gives me $20/2xp. The handshake Kwik-E-Mart gives me $26/3xp, while the regular gives $7/2xp (a difference of $19/1xp, roughly what I got from Moe's).
This is what I mean about the multiplier affecting if the amount is exactly identical or not (I phrased that, how you say, inelegant.) The regular payout for a Kwik-E-Mart is $5/1xp, but with my multiplier of around 30% that makes it $6.5/1.3xp (and I guess it always rounds up?). The base payout for a friend visit is, math tells me, $15/1 xp. Alone, with a 30% payout is $20/2xp (Moe's), and when you add the base Kwik-E-Mart rent to it ($5/1xp+$15/1xp=$20/2xp) and with the 30% multiplier it's $26/3xp

Don't knock it until you've tried it!

In this case there's more happiness in receiving than giving

Whoops! I hate it when you catch me doing that.

I know. It's sad.
By the way, did miss Yukon give you authorization to use the eye roll?
No, are you going to tell on me like an 8 year old?
