Wouldn't it be awesome if people stopped complaining about the small things...

But seriously, it's not that bad to set tasks and collect neighbors

10 hours is not everyone else's preference. I happen to like selecting specific tasks for my characters. That's part of the appeal of the game.

The collect all button has been suggested numerous times.

What you seem to be suggesting would completely change the nature of the game. And not in a good way.

Why don't they just give us an "Auto Play" button? Click on it and it will do everything for you for 24 hours - set tasks, collect from buildings, visit neighbours and record a video that you can watch at your convenience to see how much fun you were having!:lol:

The whole point of the game is to tap. One button that does everything defeats the entire purpose of the game. Especially with neighbors. I love looking at the different towns and seeing if anything has changed. I like getting new ideas for my own town. Does it take a while to tap all my neighbors? Yes. Are there times where I don't feel like taking that much time? Yes and as a result i may not visit neighbors that day. Additionally, i personally send a lot of my characters on 4 hr tasks. There are only a few i ever send on 10hr. ( Looking at you superheroes) I would rather EA spend time creating something useful for eveyone and fun rather than one magical button that does everything for me.

First off, in before the lock.

Secondly, this idea has been brought up at least 368 times and is always met with disdain by hard core tappers and forum regulars. If you don't like tapping there is a really fun game called tennis. You could give that a whirl. You need a tennis racquet though, which can cost as much as a boatload of donuts.

The game is called The Simpsons Tapped Out.........

if you didnt have to tap then it would have to be renamed The Simpsons Out which, although in keeping with the current Pride event (and indeed my own lifestyle) is wrong.:D 8)

what I would like to see is (like family guy quest for stuff) neighbour visits resetting after 20 hours instead of 24 hours. This would give far more flexibilty and help to stop me having to miss a day occasionally to reset all visits back to a suitable time.

I enjoy tapping.... it forces me to constantly review my town and keeps me going :P

    But, to each their own.

well maybe EA should take away the Nuke button and make everyone that wants to redo their town have to TAP each individual item to store and then open their inventory and TAP each individual to place it back in their town....

Just because a "collect all" or what have you is available doesn't mean everyone has to use it.

I think y'all are being a little hard on the OP. I, for one, like designing my town more than collecting every building and tapping every character's thumbs-up. I remember how tedious it used to be in the days before the Character Finder. Remember trying to find a wandering Jub-Jub? I don't think adding the Character Finder ruined the game and I don't think a mass-task-assigning button would ruin the game, either. Especially as we near 200 characters, I think it may be an inevitability.

Ditto... maybe a least a small time saver / convenient element could be a quick 'Send 20' characters & buildings you like to send on same tasks; really could take away some tedium & save time....
As well as my favorite past suggestion of adding a 3 minute 'collect' task for Bart as he skateboards around aiding in your collection 8)

As we get more and more characters and buildings its for sure inevitable that we get both a "task all" and "collect all" pair of buttons.

Without them players will dwindle away, leaving only the hard core chanting to themselves .........

"but it's called tapped out....tapped out.....it's called tapped out..."

no offense the original op, just this thread comes up a lot. I'm sure something new will be implemented as some point when it's time.

I asked if he would change it, because he wanted to use it too apparently. I like to keep my own personal identity. :)
