Using an iPad mini - same device I've always used.

really don't understand this - it's genuinely been totally fine up to the start of this event.

I had this problem yesterday after the update on my iPad Air. Tried clearing the seach memory, which usually works, but not this time. Then I shut down my iPad completely and heven't had any problems since.

Also try uninstalling and reinstalling it sounds like you have a corrupted file.

Having same crash issues helping out my son. He has iPad Air, I uninstalled/ reinstalled...still crashing. :evil:
I am not having any issues with my on town on my iPad.

iPhone 5 - crashing periodically. I did a clean install and it didn't seem to help.

Did a full shut down and restart as Bette3900 suggested - so far looking good. Might have been a corrupted / stubborn memory block rather than a file.

I did a full shut down and restarted and no luck.
I also did a uninstall / full reinstall and still crashing :-(

Old tip - but be sure you don't have a ton of pending friend requests. That has been known to make the game unplayable during an event.

I can't even get into my town at all. It crashes before when it tries loading my town. My brother can log into his town and play it fine on my device. When he goes through his friends list and gets to my town, the app will crash and kicks him back to the phone's home screen.

This can be caused by a corrupt save at EA's end on there servers so might be worth while contacting support for help with this issue if you have done all the usual things like restart, reinstall etc.

Yea I contacted EA after posting that and they surprised me and responded pretty quick. I had my game back up and running now. They had to roll my game back to the day before so I did lose a day worth or progress. I don't mind as long as it works 8)

Crashing here as well, my game & my daughters game!

I play on iPhone6, she plays on iPhone5

It happened when visiting a neighbours town, when i came to come back it crashed! now wont open at all! The game shows me my user name click and donut spins then kicks me out, same on both towns!

I have the crash thing as well! Can't get into my town at all anymore.

I have the same problem. Since this morning I can't enter my town.
Contacted EA and waiting on an answer.
