Hello fellow tapper! This glitch has been corrected in yesterday's update. If it is still working for you...well, then I applaud you. Until I see pics though I will not believe it.
Happy tapping!

It happened.
I was 4 tickets short and it let me speed the upgrade for 0 donuts. Cool!
 Ughhhh, maybe let's get a little more savvititty & finessivity to share brains more creative-like...maybe:?:
Yeah they're probably using floor() instead of ceiling() or some such. Oh, did I just tell them what to look for?
It helps to balance things out because ticket getting is slow.
You wouldn't want to be waiting 4 more hours for an upgrade because you fell short by a couple tickets. That'd lead to gripes.
I'm using the "never pay retail" approach to upgrading players. Meaning that if a game's payout takes me up to the total I need to upgrade someone I skip that player's upgrade and look to more aggressively upgrade an already stronger player who can still give me the 0 Donut rush. So far the result hasn't been totally horrible, and this uneven upgrading may be what they wanted to encourage.
You can use this to not only get a 14 AB discount, but also to get a recharge, since upgrading recharges. The point being that you might be able to play a second game immediately. Example: You have 7 active players. Play tap-ball with 4; choose wisely. Now use the discount to upgrade one inactive player and you now have 4 active players for another game.
Same idea works with other combinations.
