So, should we speculate about why Roses was killed? She didn't really accuse anyone of anything I don't think, and I didn't see her hint at having a special role, so she might have been picked randomly? Unless someone else saw something I didn't...

She voted for me.. I wonder if someone is trying to set me up.. You know, since I am such a skilled player.
Oh, I thought it was a throw away vote. Did she really accuse you of something?

++Ghallmark just because I don't know who to vote for and he was alluding to the J's being teams..
Plus he doesn't have a vote yet, so he shouldn't go....
So this is all I found about Rose's vote. I really don't think Ghall would kill her over this, it's clearly a throwaway vote.

The two people I am most suspicious of right now are Wij (because of potential hints in his avatar/location), and Pollard.

Pollard said this last game day that kind of caught my attention:
I don't think a random vote is a bad idea if we have NOTHING solid to go on. We'd have better odds than we normally do on day one.

For the reasons that Johnny explained in the thread, I think this is an odd recommendation for Day 1 voting. That coupled with his comment in the nighttime thread where he made sure to point out that he forgot the voting deadline, and his pretty immediate vote for Juliet at the start of this game day has my suspicious-dar pinging.

So, I may change my mind later if something better comes up, but for now:

No I was kidding.. I voted for her too.. I thought it was weird she was voted out, I kind of think the first vote was random.

There really is nothing to go on the first night, so you might as well take a shot in the air and hope whatever you hit is something you can eat.. Looks like they are eating Roses!

Re: Pollard vote: yeah I was surprised he said somthing about forgetting to vote, so many people took forced vote it would have been smart just to keep quiet and roll with the "I am not voting the first round" bandwagon. still not proof of guilt, but, kind of odd.

I hope people will participate more this week end. Last game we had a lot of quiet people, I know it's a strategy, but it dulls the game and really makes things a crap shoot.

    Just saying.

He was the first celeb death that really got to me

Did Wij say something against someone to have his posting limited for the day or should we think he was a random target? :? Or does it not matter since it's a special role? I need to go back and reread Day 1.

Two innocents down, and Wij can't talk. Looks like a typical day one to me  (except for the Wij not talking bit)

Sometimes Wij has a little too much to say early in these games. Maybe he was chosen for that reason....

Wij, I will allow you to have one more 160 character message since you didn't know it was limited to 1 message.

I always advocate random voting on day one because, like wilki said, an innocent always gets killed because we're so focused looking for something that's not even there. Annette's a strong player and it'd be nice to have her around right now.

Thinking a lawyer is a protector... Anyway, Wij being silenced isn't helpful. While he sometimes posts random things, he also posts some very wise things. Could have been why he was chosen.

I also apologise for my decision to vote for Annette, I agree that she is a useful player, but anyone could be a villain.

I'm going to vote for ++pollard simply because I'm not too sure, but I'm finding him suspicious. I'm likely to change my vote, but I'm going for him at the moment as he voted so early in the day. Could be a tactic, who knows?

Edit to change vote colour, couldn't find purple so assumed you meant violet. Sorted now.

Wilki, change the colour of your vote. It's purple, not violet. Your vote will not count at the end of the day if it has not changed.

I have to admit that seeing my name voted for so early in the day was a shock, and it did cross my mind that sometimes people jump on bandwagons, so maybe seeing my name up there might stick in people's minds and I might end up getting more votes later on :hunf: but when Pollard explained his reasons I figured that was fair enough. Maybe he just didn't want to miss the deadline again?

Anyway, I agree Roses being killed was probably a random shot in the dark. No one seemed particularly suspicious on the first day so the villains were probably as clueless as the rest of us.

I should be around a good deal this weekend, I don't think I'm going to have a whole lot going on so

    --juliet603

I'm gonna be upset if something comes up and I can't vote though :D . Sooo.... what now?

Only thing I can gleam from reading the morning messages again is that whoever is santa's littlt helper may have a role like guesser or prophet, as wiggum was so intent that he was a "witness" to the first crime.

Revoted as I wasn't sure it'd count. Think it's strange that because pollard was called out on his vote, he's changed it...

It's always difficult for me to vote in the beginning but I'm going with Pollard for now, unless something better comes up. Voting for Juliet (random) so early in the day, changing it when called out, then saying you'll be around a lot this weekend doesn't make much sense to me. If you're going to be around, why vote random so early in the day?

    joke? or clue...

    wij can't talk, what else?

I thought that might have hinted at Wij considering he can't say much in 160 characters (which is an improvement on been silenced for a full day  )
    lol

yeah, this is the only potential clue in the story I can see atm

The roses kill confuses me too. Has she played the last few games and been overly suspicious of someone in those? There's usually some reason right

I don't have any real clues or ideas. I vaguely remember a forum regular had Santa's Little Helper as their avatar or in their signature. I can't remember who it was, does anyone else know? I only remember it being a kind of random character to have, I can see why people pick ones like Homer and such but thought SLH an odd choice. Are they playing the game this time around?

Unless he twirls his mustache and does something menacing I will probably not join the Pollard Bandwagon. I will save my vote until I see something better down the road.
