What do people do with their Springfield's once they're done with the game?

I know I can't sell it as I tried that on here before and got told off.

Does anyone know what others have done? Just seems such a waste as I've been playing since October 2012, have completed every event since until this one and have loads of donuts and cash.

Like I say, I know I can't sell it but what do others do?

Just curious!!

why would someone be done with the game?

This group probably isn't going to have an answer for you. We're all still playing, so haven't dealt with what we'll do once we're done.

The only option we have, under the Terms of Service, is to abandon our town. (Sad, IMO)

What an interesting way of advertising and trying to sell your town.

I heard a story of how someone used a burner email address for the game and sold it after he quit playing. It's against the rules but I doubt he knew that since he only played for a year and never came on here. He didn't make much either.

The way I see it is. What I spend on this game is like me going to a movie. I pay them $18, watch it and leave. I don't have anything to show for it but the 2 hours I burned sitting there. I started spending a little money on this game to give back for the 3 years of entertainment the game gave me. If you go in with that mindset it'll be easier to abandon your town.

I do wish they offered something physical especially to players who spent money. If I quit I wouldn't mind having a poster of my town

That would be a spit in the face for those people who nuke and ragequit.

Actually, that's a great reason to do it. That would be hilarious!

From what I understand, we're not even allowed to advertise that we want to give them away. We can't even ask people to PM us.

Like, under the Terms of Service, I'm not permitted to say "Hey, I have a second town that's Level 54 and has all the special event stuff except this event, and a few million dollars of ingame money, and scads of other stuff, and I'd love to give it away if someone would just PM me."

I'm not allowed to say that. Because if I said that, I would be violating the Terms of Service. And I have great respect -- as should we all -- for the Terms of Service.

    So I won't say that.

Good that you won't say that! Because else you would have to be banned, but perhaps someone here can read minds or something and will pm you and ask for a town, who knows

Maybe they could have events where they give away actual physical prizes like collector Simpsons stuff based on say points people earn during an event which can't be based on who uses doughnuts. I'd love to earn me some Simpsons collectables. Maybe a hand crafted ceramic doughnut that looks exactly like the famous pink frosted and sprinkled doughnut with signed autographs of the cast and creator as one of the prizes. Let's think creatively.

This is what I'd do for my reaction if I received a signed one of those doughnuts.( thnx XBL-HERETIC for the gif idea.

My thought as well. Wish I coulda got here sooner to try and trade these four *slightly used* whitewall tires I have for dem chickens.

Barry, let me know if you have any other small farm animals, with or without known hobbies and/or interests, or other items you might consider in exchange for these high quality American made tires. Thanks

(The photo doesn't do it justice, but it came out pretty sharp and detailed).

When our tapped out time comes to an end, I will absolutely have a trophy for confirmation of my nerdom. And it might even include two towns stitched together 8)

I have often wondered that myself (daily actually).... especially when I visit my friends (and no one ever seems to be home. Then you finally give up visiting and hide them on your list (afraid to delete them because who knows. ... they might come back - or not....). I wish there was a way to put a DND (do not disturb)/On Vacation/Never Returning sign with a"Don'the worry, I will be returning on this date, or never coming back....., it would also be cool to leave 1,2,3, all or some friends messages (public and/or private) right from the friend screen... I find myself talking to my neighbors/friends but they never seem to answer back.... sure would be easier and quicker than logging into the forums and still don't receive a reply..... :?: :D  :?:

Their Springfield's...what? Their Springfield's Kwik-E-Marts? Their Springfield's Krusty Burger? Their Springfield's Town Hall?

Sorry, I have no idea what item in my Springfield's to which you might be referring.

I love the poster you made and your town looks great, so organized. I wish EA offered a service to do prints of our towns. It would be another stream of revenue for them for when they feel thirsty.

When each of the events finish it means that my life and work can return to a more normal routine. It means that I don't have to sneak my tablet into work and try and play every hour on the quiet without my boss seeing. I will once again be able to set everyone up for 8 hours before I leave for work and not have to worry that I'm missing something vital. It's quite a relief really. Now if only I could afford to get my screen fixed I would be able to organise my town without getting glass shards in my fingers

How would EA know if you sold your account? :?
