Wow, Aint No Mountain High/Mr Burns' Money Mountain sure is dumb

Prev1
You are omitting the perceived value of achieving the higher levels of the mountain itself. For some, rarity has value!

This entire game is a matter of perception really.

Because you could blow all that virtual game cash and still not spend as much real money ($0.00) as some completionists ($100s!)

So you're griping about spending fake money while others are happy to spend real money.

"Dumb" is therefore relative. So try not to use it too much. Your judgmental opinion may be infringing upon someone else's happiness.

P.S. I stopped the mountain at level 2 and have no plan to go higher. But I'm not calling anything dumb in this game that I'm happy I can play for FREE.

So, the purpose of this is to spend 5.5 million in game cash to build a money mountain that takes up a ton of space because it unlocks Burns' gorilla vest skin after 11 levels of this, which earns 210 cash for each one hour task.

So after earning the skin and using it, it will take 26190 hours to earn back my money. That's 1091 days, or almost exactly 3 years. I'd have to send Burns on one hour quests every hour for 3 straight years before this would be profitable.

No thanks, EA. I won't be building this dumb ugly mountain.

Burns has several Money Mountain tasks and they each have the highest payout in the game, comparatively speaking. Even higher than premium characters.

Yeah, it's not worth it if you still need money to achieve other goals in the game. If you've run out of other things to do (like me), it's a really nice addition.

Takes up too much room, is ugly, uses up my money. Unless EA takes this quest out, it will molder in my task book until the end of time.

There is also the XP factor. I have more in-game cash than I know what to do with, and if I didn't upgrade the mountain I'd be blowing money on bloodmobiles for XP, for which I get absolutely nothing other than the XP. This way I get a mountain as well, a new skin, and improved XP from Burns moving forward.

For those at the end-game cashflow situation, it's a pretty decent deal.

I love the Money Mountain, it's definitely one of my favourite items in this game. I think it looks amazing when it's finished and I love having it in my town.

I also don't really care about "earning my money back" because you could say that about any high priced decoration, item, building in this game.

But it's definitely not for everyone

Not to be a jerk but I earn 1 mill every ten days so I'm pretty good on this. I'm 2 from end.

Also I have a ton of premium characters and tons of buildings but that's cause I love this game
And I have almost a 70% bonus towards cash and xp.

I mean yeah for 100 percent freemium players it is a larger goal to accomplish. But if you want to earn stuff faster and you do love this game maybe buy some stuff. Just saying.

Either way the burns money pile is essentially free.

The thing that makes me sad s there isn't voiced phrases when he has the skin on that references anything from the song he does when there's the musical number he does. That would of been awesome.

Like myyyyyyyy loafers former gophers,,,,,,was either that!!! Or skin my shoafers-_-_-_- love that scene.

You come here complaing about EA decision to put this item in the game when it all boils down to you being cheap and not spending money so in otherwords your just mad at yourself. Good luck with that.

i have more money than i can spend i earn 409 percent every singe tap. I have no problem spending the 5.5 mil its chump change.

I guess you must have been playing the game for quite some time and must be up around level 55. I suppose you've probably already spent real money on the game in order to buy premiums to give you that 409% bonus. Was it worth it?

Do you not recognize EA created this money pile in order for it to be a money suck? It's a big gaudy pile that costs more than anything else in the game and asks you to just spend and spend to upgrade it for no particular reason.

You never get any money back from aspirationals so why would it matter how slowly this one pays you back?

Hey for goodeness sake, do you think we don't know that? EA is a business its entitled to make money, as do all business's, besides what else am I going to spend my money on, each to their own mate. Let OP play the game as they choose. You can choose too, either to play the game as it is or don't.

I'd rather pay $5 million in-game cash for an aspirational and a skin then pay any amount of donuts. And this skin pays more than a premium character. This is designed for those that have more than enough cash. If one needs to be frugal I can understand passing on this.

I just moved my nerds from KL back to SF and put the 6 of them (one of each) around my money mountain like they are guarding it. I should have placed it near Burns Manor but instead it's out in my boondocks along with other items that don't fit in town

Of course this is a "money suck", it's just like every other aspiration item in this game (escalator to nowhere, popsicle skycrapper, Fortress of Choclitude, Sit n Rotate, and Krusty Burger Oil Rig etc). All of the aspiration item cost several million in game currency which in all honesty becomes borderline meaningless when you progress up the levels. and no, this is not the most expensive item in the game, the Krusty Burger Oil Rig cost 8 million.

Personally I like the money pile, it's an unique looking item with different appearances which awards a character skin. I'd prefer more items like this.

"...spend and spend to upgrade it for no particular reason."

Seems to me that you could say that about the entire game. :)

Whatever people get pleasure from, I say. Not hurting me how they decide to play.
