Okay, Ive been looking at the post on the TSTO Addicts blog where the above calender for the blueprints is from and in the comments Bunny from the Addicts seems totally surprised by people reporting about the cap and saying they cant earn 8100 prints.
She wrote that she was able to continue handing projects in even after completing the daily combo and that she has now earned way more than 13.000 prints from projects today.
With some people here reporting this too, I am slowly suspecting that what we are facing is not some kind of mysterious cap, but maybe, just maybe another tadaaaa!! glitch!
What do you guys think? Could that be possible?
Are they reporting this cap issue on that site too then?
Hey guys, I'm AO (not AOF). I create and run the Event Strategy Threads.
Sebastian just tired out on me Here's the stats I gathered from today:
I completed 6 projects (1 small, 1 medium, 4 large)
In total I gained 6196 blueprints from projects, so if we are working on the assumption that the limit is based on blueprints earned my limit is between 5243 and 6196
Also something I think is worth noting all my tasks had cycled back to the lowest payouts when I reached the limit.
Which goes against Suetopia's theory of it being between 4-5k, and also doesn't answer how we are meant to get 8,123 per day.

Yes, commenters are reporting it, but Bunny, the author of the post, claims she has experienced nothing like this in her game and seems quite surprised asking people which parts of the quests they have not yet completed and so on.
Apparently, she assumes that we should all be able to continue handing in projects and is trying to look for what might have gone wrong for people who can't.
EDIT: She just replied again to all of the people reporting what we experience. I hope she doesn't mind if I simply quote her, but it might be an important bit of info for us, too.
"WHERE in the game are you questline wise. We are getting mixed reports.
In one I have ALL the Prizes, not in any Bonus round, Part 8 of Main questline can do as many as I want.
In another game, dont have all the Prizes, no Bonus round, questline also not completed can do as many as I want.
So far I have NOT ran into any LOCKS forcing me to stop being able to do Projects.
So I am trying to track WHERE everyone is to see if there is an unlock point. Telling me that what you see is the same doesnt help us track WHEN it unlocks unlimited ones. I am also seeing if one day you can do more than another."

Not really.
If it is between 4-5K, you would still get full credit for the LAST project completed. What we need to know is how many blueprints people had before the project that put them over the top.

Hmmm. I used that estimate because it was the most consistently reported up to that point (from what I had seen here and elsewhere), but now that there are more reports of higher numbers I am guessing I was completely wrong... (I did say that I could be wrong - I was only trying to give a rough estimate and other ways we could earn blueprints).

Whaaaat? A glitch? No way! EA's games are always flawless.
Well, yes, of course, how could I forget? Okay, let's call it a "feature" then... ;-)
did 3 Large tasks of 2000-2300 blueprints each, before i hit the "cap" today, know im just making more trash for tomorrows tasks.
It really is weird cause yesterday i did like 7 tasks however they were mixed, made about 6000 ish (possibly less) before i hit the cap yesterday.
Could donuts be behind this?
Fun fact, as long as your monorail stations dont intersect you can have multiple monorails, im going to the central station in Spingfield Heights, and the Krusty one in springfield (it is springfield anyways, they are lazy and tend to eat).
with the exception of Project Management:Metal Pt. 1, im done with all my tasks, so dont know whats going on.
I'm wondering if there was something in the update that hit later in the day yesterday that has impacted some of us.
I was able to do several projects after completing the Daily Challenge yesterday, but after the update hit I was soon grayed out of doing any further projects.
Then today I was only able to do the two projects for the Daily Challenge and then everything grayed out again.
So today has been a nothing day on the monorail event for me
This is crazy, so the amount of projects you do isn't based on the amount of blueprints you get in exchange, or a limit to the number of exchanges you do? There's clearly a limit, because we're being stopped from doing loads each day, so what is it?
What I've been getting from what people have posted, and my own experience, is that the amount of project board tasks/exchanges you can complete in a day is based on the amount of blueprints - there is a limit of how many blueprints you can get from the exchanges/project board tasks. I think the estimate of 4000-5000 sounds right.
So you get blueprints from:
-exchanges/project board tasks (seems about 4000-5000 is the limit for this)
-blueprints for the daily bonus (can't remember the amount)
-friend visits/visiting friends
-possums
-Little Lisa Slurry building
Am I missing any?
I could be completely wrong about this...
Does that make any sense? (there is so much info it seems like nothing is making sense any more )
Just to be clear...so I don't get accused of stealing again...I'm going to use some of this on TSTOFriends.com

Did anyone else notice that TSTO friends basically copied and pasted my "earning blueprints" comment into one of his posts?
I'm not sure if I'm mad because of plagiarism or happy because my work has been deemed acceptable by a popular TSTO website.
I'll let it slide this time TSTO friends.
WHOA....slow down there, cowboy! I used the info...and cited the forum...because there is no way to cite an individual forum post. Gio (LetsPlayNintendoIta) and I swap info all of the time...but I always give him credit.
I will go back and do the same for you. And for the record, it is legal/cool/chill to do so, as long as you cite the source. I own a media company...we know the Digital Copyright act up and down. So...be flattered...not offended!

I now wish I had written down what the tasks were. I tapped through them too fast. However, looking at the picture Rich posted, I have the same first task he has. So, I wonder if aidx is right about the tasks cycling in order, and if each series repeats, or if it works more like (oh, I hope not) a slot machine. I'm going to start recording them, and maybe if others do also, we can find a pattern.
Everything I'm about to say is a pure guess made by me based on what I've read and experienced regarding the limit on projects:
What if the "limit" is really a glitch like some people have already said that only occurs when the 3 slots all cycle through their options and land on there base payouts. If so we could simply never use slot 1 it can never hit its base and we get unlimited projects through slots 2 and 3. What do ye think? Did I explain myself well enough?
Yeah, I don't think the 4,000 number is right. It's just what I happened to get today. Others seem to vary wildly.
As for where I am in the quest line, I've finished everything but the Project Metal Management Part 2, which obviously I can't finish for a while since I keep running into limit.
Could the Drivers License or Permit thing (whatever they're calling it for this event) have any effect? Does anyone has the Permit and also run into the limit?
I can't believe this is just a straight glitch, because why would the text about the guy being tired even be there if it's truly unlimited? I think Bunny may be off on this one.

I thought about this but today I never used slot 2. And I still got locked out after 4 projects (1 from slot 1 and 3 from slot 3, for the record).

Oh that wasn't meant to come across as me getting mad, I was just saying my info was used on your site, I was bragging, I didn't mean to make it sound like you were a bad guy, its all good
My best guess at the moment is that if you rush with donuts the game never records you as having handed anything in, it just gives you the blueprints and prizes - so Sebastian Cobb dialogue never triggers. And after you unlock Ray Patterson at the end of Act 1 there is no block/cap just free to grind for as many extra tracks as possible

I too am wondering if the patch has anything to do with it. Specifically, the "Project Management: Metal Pt. 1" contains the message "Complete this quest before August 23rd and earn free donuts." If people can get through ten projects a day even with a small number of checkins, even people with a pretty casual approach would blow past that way too fast. Maybe you are only *supposed* to be able to do the number needed for the daily tasks and they oopsed with the initial release, fixed with the patch. But then I don't really know how the math could work out re: getting to the end of the monorail prize track. And of course that doesn't explain how some folks are doing a number greater than 2 but less than unlimited tasks now.
Geeze the more posts I see about the board, the more I get concerned that it's all random. Let's see, board has five letters. I can think of another 5 letter word that brings back bad memories. And who's this bunny person? The similarities to the event that shouldn't be named are piling up. Sorry for the rant in this otherwise informative thread. Any more of this and I'm logging off to go find my tin foil hat...

Anyway, this is how I earned mine today:
1st project: 2,124
2: 1,263
3: 620
4: 19
Total: 4,026
So it can't even be a 4,000 limit because I had over 4,000 before I did the last project. Seriously, EA devs. Help us out. A hint. Something.
