Not looking to start anything, but according to the Addicts team there doesn't appear to be a glitch but rather a set amount of blueprints coded into the game for each day (even though their reported numbers don't come close to mine). Hopefully this gets sorted out pronto.

I'm aware of that too, and it's worrying me, but the writers on that website, according what people have said on this thread, don't have any issues, but their commenters do, while multiple people have now reported speaking to EA and them confirming its a glitch they are aware of. What numbers are they reporting for caps? Because our findings on the cap suggest there is no way of getting all of the prizes.

Their current reading is that it's a number that increases daily. Yesterday was 4500, today 9000, tomorrow 13500. This implies a linear progression, but they have not given additional numbers beyond that, other than saying it keeps going up. This is assumed to be cumulative, but there isn't really evidence of this. Of course, most people I see commenting on this did not get anywhere near this number before they were capped, but this would be *approximately* accurate for me if it included the 5k Daily Play bonus I got today. If this is a thing, a little ingame counter saying "you can earn this many more Blueprints today" would be super.

Other factors that can't yet be accounted for is what impact yesterday's patch had on this issue and what impact the Blueprints earned from Possums and Friend Taps/visits have on this number.

Contacts I have had in the past with EA's support for this and other games does not inspire a lot of confidence that information that would be meaningful on these issues is being given to people who have contact with players seeking tech support.

Where are they getting this information then that nobody here is finding it? We have to remember also that if it wasn't for their readers telling them about it, they wouldn't know about it. It's all very messy, and I think our only options right now is to keep getting as many blueprints as we can, go to this thread and comment (http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10349197.page) and hope for the best.

    I really hope I'm wrong!!! But ...

I meant people like bunny, who was asking where people were getting the message that they couldn't build any more, so she could help them. Unfortunately it seems that bunny ends up being one of the exceptions to the rule, she is probably experiencing a glitch. And everyone else is getting the planned mechanism, with a cap. Bunny is a sweetie. If it has to happen to someone, I'm glad it's someone like her.

    But I DO hope I'm wrong. :(

You have to also take into account that she's operating under different circumstances that most people--since they do all those guides and such they rush everything with donuts, and we don't know how this cap impacts things once you get to the end of the prize track (heh, track) for act 1.

I've never played all the way through an event where dedicated tappers couldn't make the final prize, and that seems like a really weird thing to change now. I personally usually finish whatever the main prize track is in approximately half the allotted time. Had some wackiness with Whacking Day, but outside that I've never had a problem getting to the end of a prize track. To go from that to mathematical impossibility seems really unlikely.

Right, I get what you mean now. Yeah, I've mentioned this a few times, but then why is EA calling our experience a glitch? And why would they plan it out that way, making the daily target impossible? This is absolute madness!! Is this gonna be the case for Act II and Act III too?!

Thanks for bringing that up, it makes me feel a little better! I didn't think of that with the rushing and stuff!

It's only right that you experience wackiness on Whacking Day of all days!! Only! Right!

And what's dirty about track?! It's not like booby trap! (Lol! Booby!!)

Thanks, I'll get over there now, I'm getting worried that there's now two conflicting stories, that it's a glitch, or planned.

They said they talked to the "specialist team" whatever that is

I've also put a large note about it at the top of the OP, telling everybody to go there and comment.

Thank you AO :) the more people we get to post the better!

    EDIT: for clarity

Thanks to you both for the appreciation, I'm so glad I started doing these during the Tap Ball Event, it's really fun, I hope really helpful (it is to me at least) and I'm committed to doing this every event now, because it makes me feel so proud. Thanks like this is ultimately what keeps me doing this, knowing that it actually does good and isn't just taking up space!

I have no doubt we will get a resolution to this eventually, we always do. If you put the time in to this game, you do get every prize and stuff available during events, just remember the complaints about the community prizes at the end of Tap Ball? People all over my thread were saying EA have made it seem impossible every time, but we've never missed something. We just have to stay positive, do our parts to the best of our abilities and it'll all be fine.

And with this thread we can all have fun and distract ourselves while we wait. Also, figuring out how to maximise AB during Tap Ball seemed impossible at times, but we got there!!

Got send to the tstoaddicts page  then told the but that I didn't receive 9000 from projects today. Then gets told that he will contact the staff or something and get the cap raised.

I don't know if many people are suffering from the game constantly freezing up - I am, but perhaps I'm in a small minority

I seem to have alleviated the problem by disconnecting my tracks from the monorail station so the train stops moving. However, I'm still freezing when I visit my neighbours so....

TIP Maybe make it easier for your neighbours to visit you by disconnecting your tracks. You might get more visits, and therefore, more blueprints

If you go to the bugs forum, there's a thread at the top to post on to add to the list of people with he problem. It's funny that we're all getting different info when we contact support.

AO all of you that contribute to the walk-throughs are amazing. I would never have the time energy or $ to do a walkthrough. Kudos you you LPN and SpAncer.

Gotta say that something is screwy, even with the supposed "caps".

I'm an Aussie, so my "midnight reset" is 6pm AEST locally. The clock ticks over 6pm, my blueprints projects reopen... and I maxed out in like 2hrs (needed more metals). Got just over 4000, if I recall correctly. Maxed it out before 6pm reset too, though I can't remember what that total was.

My "end-of-day" at the time couldn't have been more than 12,300, as I had 12,551 by my bedtime. If TSTOA's totals are to be believed, my max for 12/8 should have been 9,000, or if EA's coding is muddled due to my time being 18hrs ahead, 13,500 (if it's a day fast). Neither checks out.

It also doesn't make sense logically. If the "cap" is increasing by 4,500 per day, then when someone wins the daily prize of 5,000 blueprints, that would mean they should be locked out of exchanging for 24hrs+!!

...Though if it IS true (albeit poorly implemented), it's an extremely crap way of ensuring the event lasts. Stagger the timing, EA, that's fine. But hamstringing players is not cool!!

I agree that attempting to bring logic into this entire situation (so far) has been folly. If I may reference your avatar, it makes even less sense than the final episode of The Prisoner. I guess it's just going to require a wait-and-see attitude at this point.

That is hilarious. At best...they are guessing like everyone else. This proves one thing...EA support is populated by a bunch of people who aren't REALLY part of EA. This is hilarious. Talk about the blind leading the blind.

They hack the EA files...are now experts??? Man...this is sooooo revealing if it is true!

I want to make sure that you are writing out the chain of events in order....

    1. You Contacted EA
    2. They sent you to the Addicts Page???????
    3. You made it clear that you didn't get 9,000 points today.
    4. You are sent back to "request" that they raise the minimums????

HOLYFREAKINSHIRT!!! If this is true...it blows GIANT holes in EA support being anything but a bunch of nobodies who don't play the game...being "taken down a path" by people who hack the game files...but don't know what the hell they mean.

This is truly hilarious...if it weren't so sad.

I may be wrong, but they seem to be doing less than guessing! We've got a large and vocal population saying there's a problem, but because the people who played the game in a unique "cheating" way (of course for our benefit) who write the articles there, they seem to be steadfast in their opinion there's no problem. Don't they realise their experience of the game is in no way representative of the masses, because they rush EVERYTHING with donuts to produce their walkthroughs (which in my experience don't hold a candle to LP's Walkthroughs?

They've had people copy and pasting responses from my thread without citing the source, but then seemingly ignore what they copy and paste? No wonder EA are redirecting people there, they've both got their head in the sand, I bet EA hope that the Addicts' page is done professional-looking enough to convince some naive players there's no problem!

Sorry if that was rambling, incoherent, and/or needlessly aggressive, but I've just woken up from a poor nights' sleep much earlier than planned! But it just felt this needed to be said. Don't get fooled people, no matter what way EA are spinning it right now, the maths simply does not add up!!!
