Frink's Lab, The Community Centre, or The Happy Sumo

A lot of people will say Sumo because he can generate Bonsais.

But it is really down to personal preference, I got Frink as my first premium purchase because I wanted the lab and a scientist, I just like the look of it.

I'm a freemium player too, and i invested in Frinks L as the first because it/frink always give you help in challenges 8)

Frink is the most likely to be used in additional challenges. Though Jasper is being used in Springfield heights. I have frink and hes uses in springfield heights too

I'm in exactly the same boat as you (I have 169 donuts). I'm waiting for black friday and hoping EA offer a donut rebate but if you can't wait until then I will do JimJ's job and say 'Listen to your heart tapper'.

They all have their advantages, but I think frinks lab is a good choice because you can have some fun designing with it as it can incorporate the more bizarre items we get, but if designing isn't that big a thing to you maybe go with jasper as he helps out in events a lot and you might have some of his free skins in your inventory (sporty jasper from tapball, stonecutter)

It's up to personal preference really. I went for Jasper first, because he has "Go Paddlin'' as a task as well as "Sing the Lollipop Song" which is pretty cute (?)... He has been seeing more usefulness lately as well. He was a player in the recent soccer event and got a new skin from that as well as being used in SH.

Do you have skins for Jasper or Frink? Stonecutters maybe.

I would recommend Frink. His initial quests aren't as exciting because there was no dialogue. (At least when I got him.) However his tasks are very visual and a lot of fun. He is used in a lot of subsequent tasks and events. Jasper has great dialogue and story lines, but for me Frink wins out by just a hair. Both are great choices but I have to give it to Frink.

Jasper was also used in Tapball, and Stonecutters, and there is a rumor that there might be a Sushi currency added to SH, which makes me think Akira might be playing.

All three are about equal, and I don't think you can go wrong with any, tho Neglectorino makes a good point, you might just wait and see what comes up, especially since none of these are currently involved. So as JimJ would say...follow your heart, Tapper!

Nah if you are that close keep saving for Barney. I'm at 122 in my main town and I'm just going to keep going until I get Barney. (though I might buy donuts in the near future)
I bought the licence last event that had one(Terwilliger). That was a mistake. I would be at about 210 with out them.
(Max level in both levels and friend levels help mean they accumulate relatively quickly. and once you have Barney everything else is cheaper.

My pure freemium town with occasional play is at 72 donuts with Frink, Otto and Bumblebee man (that town gets alot of 24 hr tasks. Also saving for Barney.
