Your town always makes me smile, I love the "welcome" LOL.

I'm in the process of creating a whole town screenshot because I want to remember the snowy look when it finally melts. I'll contribute a garden shot later today once I figure out what to use lol. I haven't been focusing all that much on gardens with this monochromatic landscape.

This is a brilliant idea! Do you just take a whole bunch of screenshots and place them together on a program? It'd take forever however I would like to remember the snow. I know when I visit a neighbour and they have no lights up I almost literally think 'That house looks weird'. They feel bare.

OK the easiest way for me to do this is to take a whole bunch of screenshots and then put them into my dropbox. Then I go to my laptop PC and open up Photoshop and put it all together. I do it piece by piece because otherwise things don't line up right. It takes about an hour but it's so cool seeing your complete town like that.

I recommend everybody do this, really gives you a good idea of what your town looks like.

NeoSEC28 - others have done it using the iPads. Wait till one of them gets on here and responds with some helpful tips. I find it easier to use my PC because it's what I'm used to, I bought my iPad a few months ago and I am not completely comfortable using it.

I believe there is an app you can use.

    Page 9 at the bottom...

Mellytan suggested a site or app or software (not sure which) called "Doubletake" which did a pretty nice job of stitching together a Panorama of her town. You can give that a shot.

See? Told you guys that if you just waited a bit that some helpful forum person would come along and point you in the right direction.

I didn't pay attention to that post because I am a Photoshop Jedi Master!!

There was a theater in my home town called The Winter Garden... I saw The Incredible Mister Limpet there when I was a kid. Oh, and the first Land Before Time movie.

The Incredible Mr Limpet and Land Before Time? You're dating yourself there. Like I'm dating myself when I say I saw Star Wars in a theater on opening night way back when. Us old guys need to stick together!

True, I am dating myself with the Land Before Time... but The Incredible Mr. Limpet had to have been a special playing, as I don't think I was even born when it came out the first time. I remember being amazed by those fish though!

[grumble] the hijack continues. Ah well, better to join 'em. Why aren't there more movies like Mr Limpit or Roger Rabbit? Tech is better than ever at mixing graphic and real world. Seems today's movie audience wants full on reality or fiction not much of the blend.

Anyone remember the Treehouse story with Homer entering the real world?

    Awww, sorry RSommons.

On Topic: I don't have any winter gardens in my town... just gardens that have been snowed upon.

My memory is horrible, but I think it was in the mid-nineties. Oh, and I don't really have any winter gardens or I'd post it.

I think I just heard the whomp whomp whomp effect. It's all good, one of the things I really dig about the forum is the sideways directions these threads take. Though it can make "searching" (really, does anyone do this?) difficult.

Oh, and go make you one of those winter gardens. Don't you want to see what it'd look like after the thaw? It's like a blind contour drawing.

Actually, yes! Now that you put it that way, I'm down with the mystery and I just happen to be attempting a redesign at this very moment... you know, with plenty of procrastination. I will be back...

Good call, October 1995. Homer is pulled into a black hole and enters a "real world."

Reindeer have taken over one of my parks, alas. There may not be grass in the spring. Other than moving any errant reindeer to the (yet-to-be) forest, I mostly have plans for a larger central park, but that is definitely waiting for the spring redesign.

Maybe some nice level 2 person can post these for me?

Edit: To clarify, only the cool brown house yard and the strip dividing fancy downtown from the strip with Moe's were build post-snow. The others I've tweaked but they weren't done blind.
