Theyve reached a tipping point for the game. At this point most people decided either to load up and buy all the items... And many others decided its a waste to spend $$$ on a volcano lair.

Also..likely more similar games coming to compete with TSTO

You'll see more offers like this...
    Is there anyone out there?

So what if it is. You have the option to buy more donuts or not. EA can set the prices for new items high and people will still buy them. They aren't going to increase the price of items already available. Thats silly.

I agree with those who suggested that this is a way to get others to buy donuts. I completely think so. If you accumulate a few hundred donuts during this promotion, you are going to want to buy stuff. First it just starts with the stuff you have enough donuts to buy. After you buy something you'd Ike, you still have a few more donuts. You'd like to buy Kearny, buy you still need 20 or 25 more, then the thought occurs to you that if you just buy the smaller package (after all, it's only 10 bucks) you can buy Kearny and maybe a little something else. Then, the cycle starts again.

Hey, you know what, I like this game and I like getting free donuts and if I buy some more donuts, so be it. Lets face it, Internet servers and game programmers don't come cheap. They've gotta pay for it somehow.

I'm surprised no-one has complained they wasted money, by paying for donuts in the earlier sale.

By having some free donuts gets you to look at all the premium items and dream which ones you might be able to get. Your desire for them grows and once the free donuts are no more you will only have one option to get those items you long for.... Buy donuts. This is clever marketing, the sort no one complains about. If you want a premium item for 60 Donut and you have 48 free ones, well you'll have to buy the final 12
