My Springfield Project

Mountain Area

This is one of my favorite parts of town. It started when I saw the escalator integrated with Volcano Lair. I thought it was so brilliant I had to replicate it and I placed the Springfield Sign and the waterfall just next to it to have a starting point for all the water flowing around my town. I moved it around a little when I saw the Murderhorn because I think it beautifully matches the lair. Wintertime I had the ski lift next to the ice castle so I integrated them both in the cluster.

Future plans: expand the ice area with Santa's Village and Xmas stuff and start to transition along the right edge to go in the desert area.

Business District (aka Evil Corporation District)

Ok I have to thank a few people for this:

    - first of all jerryscrip988 for the sick Botanical Garden/Ziff corp/Superhero building because it's just breathtaking

    - organizmx66 (I think it was his) for the compact Monsarno because it's awesome. I just added the Giant Pumpking behind and I like to tap it every time to make it loom over the buildings

    - simpsons7795 for part of his Powell Motors block. I made it more compact and used a different fountain but I love it with the valet parking on the side

    - and finally Barry, I think, for giving me the idea of placing the Gentlemen's Club near the bank. I love them like that.

So I didn't do much, just patch together three of the most stunning designs I ever saw on these forums. One of my favorite parts of town, mad props to all the tappers involved in creating those designs.

(Yeah, I know: NO BOLD for Barry) 8)

I originally had Sir Putt-a-Lot opposite to the Daycare Center but after I saw alexggoldsmith2 design with the golf course I had to change it. I just addedd Elf House and Fort Adventure to create some sort of playground.

Nice work throughout your town. I especially like the Central Park area. Flows very well with the surrounding area.
The business district looks fantastic! Wow!
The health district is also cool 8)

This is the compact Recycling Area I posted in the corresponding thread but I made small modifications, basically to have a little more room inside.

Pretty self explanatory. And yes, it's near the school! (Won't somebody please think of the children!)
Maison Derriere will go in a more upscale part of town.

    Campus Area

A full campus/museum area complete with Internet caf?, texmex and laser tag. I didn't know what to do with the laser tag but then I had to move the nuclear power plant and it seemed like a natural fit there.

so creative truly inspiring!! makes me want to "borrow" some of your ideas :P

In the Health District, the roads match so well with the hospital. just wondering do you leave that river path (the one that right behind town hall) open on purpose?? looks like the captain is about to test the water lol

btw the Monsarno area looks awesome too!!

    Apartments

Originally the apartments area was on the opposite side, near the mountains but they opened the SH tunnel just on top of them so I decided to move them over. This area is still a working progress and it's ready to accomodate more apartments type buildings or similar structures either with more land or expanding on the north side.

Sit'n'Rotate is a nice fit so I'll leave it there.

Oh, of course that Zenith City Apartments design is a gem from barryriddl474. See, man? BOLD THIS TIME.
