Well, this downtime is way too long now. EA has to give us at least 60 free donuts for or inconvenience. I play Tapped Out since 2012, and this week (infamous patchday on Wednesday, server lag, server downtime) is the worst week I ever witnessed.

If this is indeed the fault of Amazon AWS service, why does EA owe us donuts for something out of their control?
What would Amazon have to do with this? That's just dumb. It would be nice if they re-set the clock in order to complete the final portion of the monorail.

Because Amazon sells cloud services to other companies.
Wondered what was going on. At least I know now that I am not the only one. It is now 3.45 pm in the UK and I have been locked out for most of the day. Managed to visit a few friends first thing this morning and hopefully will be able to do my evening visits.!!!
Was able to go in & complete the railyard task, went to Krustyland to sync as the tracks/donuts were not showing up & was booted.
Unable now to get back in.
