Has the monorail track glitch been resolved?

I was wondering this myself. Can anyone confirm that the disappearing building glitch, due to monorail pieces being placed over water, has been corrected? I haven't had time to check myself

I don't see how anyone could confirm that. It was not happening to everyone. So just trying it and not having a problem does not confirm anything. And if they ask EA support, we know that the answers are not consistent, so would you believe whatever support said? I wouldn't.

    Very frustrating.

I was wondering if anyone who had the problem is still having the problem. I suppose when I get time I'll set up my track the way it was when it was glitching.

I had it, and ended up nuking.

I hadn't spotted the connection to water, so when I rebuilt, I put tracks on water again - And..... Nothing.

    All good 8)

Of course this isn't total proof, but...

    Glad that worked for you!

We will never get proof it now works; SE does not work that way despite efforts by noted CS people.

I doubt we'll get confirmation; by which I mean official word from EA.

So stories like yours that you've done it without issue, and yet you had issues before, are the best we can hope for.

That's actually why I'm asking, to see if what they did resolved the issue.

That's dedication! I appreciate your trying it again when you already had problems. People lost Lisa doing this and had to contact EA to get it resolved.

All my track is in storage because of freezing and lagging issues. By the time I get a better device, I hope this is all working much better.

[Edit: @direwolf: I understand now what you were after. Thanks for the clarification.]

Just to elaborate, I lost Lisa, but gave up on ea, nuked and hoped
Eventually got her back, although not straight away, and not sure what eventually triggered her return

I wouldn't recommend anyone trying it just as a test, but hopefully more may come forward with stories similar to mine, which Will help boost confidence.

I'm just glad my woes might have a silver lining for y'all 8)

Since you just nuked, you may enjoy a blog post on the addicts site regarding that.
See here on the forum for a pointer to it.

I didn't realize that the glitch was connected with water. There's practically no water in my Springfield at all so I think I'll be okay. Thanks for the replies!
